What if we get a new mechanic like this in the future? The mechanic will read:
Overcharged. This card costs 1 less for every Overloaded mana crystals you have.
This mechanic will help us not lose so much tempo in the early game if we use Overload. Like a 4 mana 3/4, but costs 1 less for every Overloaded mana crystals. Opinions are welcome, my fellow Shamans.
I think the Overload mechanic is fine, but some of the cards with it have too much overload like Forked Lightning or have a quite poor cost-overload ratio like Earth Elemental and Lightning Bolt (I'd much rather pay 2 mana for lightning bolt).
The Overload mechanic has no obvious problem. What need to be fixed on Shaman is how its Hero Power works. And no, I don't complain on how RNG it is, though there were many times when I had to pray for Wrath of Air Totem + Lightning Storm.
Shaman's tokens are very immobile since 3/4 of them have 0 attack value. Without Flametongue Totem (and to a lesser extend, Defender of Argus), they wiill sit on your board uselessly. And since Shaman is only great when already being ahead, if you have to use your Hero Power one time at the first 3 turns, there will be likely that you will lose.
I hope there will be some ways to buff Shaman tokens in the future (and for the love of God, please no more of Totemic Might).

I think this problem is Lightning Storm's 2-3 damage. Generally when you need the totem storm it is for the 3 damage guarantee, same with rolling a totem for crackle, these spells have unnecessary RNG moreso than the totems.

I'd like to see minions with 'give your totems x buff' or 'summon a x totem' to give you more efficient board presence
