Build this deck to beat Patchwerk Heroic, and did it on second try.
Mulli for an OZ and coin it on first turn so Patchwerks 2'nd turn is useless.
try to get as many taunts out as possible to minimize dmg early.
as soon as you have the possibilitie to freeze him together with having an waterelement out and one taunt (he will always kill the minion with taunt with his hero ability) you have won the game, as long as you can continue having one taunt on board all the time.
Edit: -2 arcane int for 2 Oracles
I modified this but used some ideas. This was overpowering. Try this.
-Defender of Argus × 2 -Fireball × 1 -Goldshire Footman × 2 -Shieldbearer × 2
+2 Sorcerer's apprentice +2 Snowchuggers +2 Annoyotron +1 Deathlord
He killed my Taunts with his Hero power.
Also.... If you use the Acidic Swamp Ooze between turn 4-6 He'll Equip his weapon INSTEAD OF killing a minion with his Hero power. This gives you a turn or 2 to build a board. That's how I won.
Since GvG is out, I replaced the Footmen with Annoy-o-tron.
Now that GvG is out, I replaced the Kirin Tor Mages with two Snowchuggers. Recommended.
I was able to do it by getting as close to this deck as possible. I pretty much got a series of very lucky topdecks with the freeze I needed... then the coldlight oracle drew me duplicate and it was over for Patchwerk. Funny thing was I just assumed he didn't take fatigue damage, so when I played the oracle I just needed frostbolt for lethal with my ice lance in hand, so when he took the fatigue damage I was thrilled, especially when I saw that duplicate. I was at 2 hp for several turns, only lived thanks to ice block. It was tough because I don't have a single defender of argus if you can believe that (and yet, five legendaries) and only one oracle. Getting a couple cheap taunts and a water elemental was huge, he would just attack one taunt, hero power the other taunt and ignore the elemental. 2x Deathlord worked out well for me too.
Just won on the first try, worked great. My MVP was the pile of coldlights to kill him with huge fatigue damage
First off, I can confirm first try.
Second off, the only critical minions are the ones that can freeze Patches. If you don't have any of the rares it just doesn't matter. I didn't use Cold light Oracles or my Arcane Int cards at all. The only thing that matters is having him frozen, and a cheap taunt on your board.
I think the author should revamp the deck and make it with only basic + naxx cards!
Worked first try. If you get super low, dont restart or anything. I got down to 2 health with him having full health and still won.
Why would you use AI when you can use a coldlight oracle?
Because the heroic boss decks it's always better to use a basic card over an expert card. Mention it in the comments as a better replacement but always go as low cost as possible.
I know this is really late, but they are the same cost
1st try.
Thanks for the help.
I can confirm that this deck works wonderfully. I had been experimenting with something similar and couldn't quite get it to work, but I changed several cards in my deck to match this one and got a first go win. Thanks. :D
