This deck is designed to defeat Heroic Maexxna. The key objective in the early game is to achieve a field of 7 enemy minions with 1 attack each. This precludes Maexxna from deploying any other minions. Once you've achieved this state of play you will want to use the low cost healing cards to maintain your health as much as possible while not attacking any of Maexxna's minions. Once you have the Guardian of Kings and Earthen Ring Farseer (hereafter referred to as the Healing Minions) in your deck you can heal 9 health every turn while Maexxna's minions can only deal 7 damage to you. At this stage, you ideally want at least one Bluegill Warrior in your hand.
During rounds where you have 21 or less health you should play both of the Healing Minions. During rounds where you have 22-24 health you should play just the Guardian of Kings and use the Bluegill Warrior to deal damage to Maexxna. Be sure not to play more than two minions during any round to ensure that both of your cards are returned to your hand and Maexxna does not destroy any of her 1 attack minions taking out any of your minions. (Note: Maexxna always uses her web hero ability at the beginning of the round so if you only play two minions those minions will always be returned to your hand). Keep this up and you will either eventually defeat Maexxna from minion damage or via fatigue!
Very easy win. Thanks. And yes I'm only just now doing Heroic Naxx :p
Since I had no Earthen Ring Farseer, I substituted in my Healbots. This was key for me since I had to use my Truesilver Champions to take out a Belcher and SeaGiant put in play. Was able to heal through 10 damage per tern till Fatigue took over and at last was able to Blugill+BoK him down, Fatigue took out the last 3 HP.
Nice. I made this deck before Antique Healbot was in the game but agree that's a better minion choice.
We think this is an awesome deck, but in case you no longer have a Leeroy after his nerf, check out the Healadin deck in our video below.
Haha, very similar deck to the one I used - but I had Alex and Arcane Golems so after healing to 15 I would deal 8 the turn after. Rinse and repeat. After stabilizing at 7dmg board of course.
it's funny that you got rid of BoW. IMO it was one of the best cards in this deck that made it stronger than any other Maexxna deck. Every single turn you would get 1 or 2 more cards when you placed those on a spider. Making sure you get the healing cards and leeroy cards no matter what each game.
Warning to anyone lactose intolerant: This deck contains so much cheese it's almost unbearable. :P
Thank you. Truly hilarious to watch.
It ain't pretty but its designed to get you the win. :)
Great deck! Thank you!
I found the easiest way to get him to have 7 x 1 attack minions on the board was switch out the blessing of wisdoms with consecrations, and do it on turn 4 when he had 3 haunted creepers (1/2) and a 1/4 on his board. So the Haunted Creepers were killed and the 1/4 survived, and the haunted Creepers turned into 6 small spiders.
Big ups on making the deck though, it was mathematically impossible to lose with it. Just wanted to add my easy method of doing it!
Chicken Dinner
Hand of Protection is a throwaway card for the most part. The problem with the Maexxna encounter is you can quickly get to 10 cards in your hand before you assemble the cards you need to win. You can't just burn cards on minions because it can mess up the board. Cards like Hand of Protection are helpful as ways to thin your hand without messing up the board. :)
Hand of Protection also allows you to trade a Bluegill against one of his 1/2 spiders early-game, filling up the board that much faster.
However, upon reading this, I'll be trying out the Light's Justice in place of a Blessing of Wisdom.
This deck = win. Thanks!
