Here is my take on Oil Rogue after the release of Blackrock Mountain. I know what you're thinking right away. Where are the piloted shredders and violet teachers? I believe I've found a valid replacement for shredders in the form of Hungry Dragon. A 4-cost minion with 5-6 stats is incredible. Now the "drawback" of him is summoning a random 1-cost for the opponent. What better way to deal with 1-cost free minions then Oil Rogue cards? Shiv and Fan of Knives along with Hero Power prove more than effective in clearing the nuisance without wasting any resources. Not to mention, Hungry Dragon himself can just trade with it for free.

Let's look at my logic for including some less played cards shall we?

Assassin's Blade

Assassin's Blade is a card that used to be more popular in Rogue decks but has fallen out of style recently. I LOVE this card so far because it allows for stronger Deadly Poison and Tinker's Sharpsword Oil plays, virtually free removal of pesky 3-toughness minions like Grim Patron and Piloted Shredder, and higher durability in comparision to the Hero Power (making blade flurry more free as you have more turns to attack before destroying the weapon). I've won games based solely on this card, and I do not see myself cutting it anytime soon.

Shiv

Shiv is a card that I'm very fickle about. On one hand, it provides extremely cheap, 1-damage removal and replaces itself just like a Mortal Coil. In combination with Hero Power, 2-toughness minions can be cleared with ease. However on the other hand, it is virtually useless late game and against decks without low toughness minions like Druid and Warrior. This card may be switched with a second sap after further testing. Currently, the synergy with Hungry Dragon is keeping it in, but I will keep testing.

Sprint

Some people opt to play a single copy of sprint because it is cloggy/dead early game. I like two in the deck because you need to see a copy of it to keep major card advantage. Additionally, with two Preparation in the deck and only 1 Sprint, you won't often see that combo. In my opinion, it is worth the risk of dead drawing a Sprint in order to get to it faster.

Sap

Sap is a card that disappoints me a lot. I appreciate the value it gets when your opponent has buffed up the minion beforehand and the value it gets from setting your opponent back/reducing their tempo. However, far too often have i seen one or even two copies sitting in my hand, unable to hit a good target. Late game comes around and I'm forced to use them sub-optimally. I'd much rather have Assassin's Blade to clear a pesky creature than just let my opponent play it again next turn after bouncing it to the hand. These drawbacks have currently convinced me to play a single copy, however if decks like Handlock become more popular in the ladder, Shiv might be replaced by a second Sap.

This deck will be updated as I figure out better cards to play as well as a proper mulligan guide. Oil Rogue is similar in its mulligans anyway, so if you really need a guide, check another Oil Rogue deck. Please comment any constructive criticism, opinions, etc and thanks!
