This is a complex deck, and if not played right, you will only win half of the time that you win..
Make sure you have at least 3 Grim Patrons in your hand.
On turn 5, don't play one of your Grim Patrons yet, you don't want to give away your secret, and you only have 30. Don't waste them.
On turn 10, you can play 2 Grim Patrons at once, then the following turn, when you play another 2, your opponent will surrender.
What if I only have 29 Grim Patrons
So, i've been debating this issue myself, as I know some will be at their limits with 29 in their deck.
ive concluded that Wisp is the most logical choice. It will give you great advantage in many stages of the game.
If you use your Wisp on turn one, you really set the whole tone of the game from then out. However, if you wait till turn 10, and not only get your two Grim Patrons out, but a Wisp as well, there is just not much that can be done by the enemy.
Wisps are also great drinkers.
Excellent deck, i made an account here just so i can upvote. My first match was against some one else using a beer party deck, i knew this because both of us didn't play a card until turn 5, but even at turn 5 he just hovered the card over the board then decided not to make the first move. Neither of us ended up playing anything just to be safe, but i ended up winning because of fatigue.
I swapped out a Grim Patron for an Unstable Portal to play a Grim Patron on turn two. This has allowed me to get from rank 6 to 3. Will post back tonight if I hit legend.
It took me to legend this season! thank you, love this deck
No it didn't. Why do you even post here? The cards not out yet. Noob.
Ever heard of a mystical thing called "joke"? Or another mystical thing called "sarcasm"?
I love beer
Opponent was in suspense as he noticed I hadn't played a single card prior to turn 5 "this guys deck is crazy" he most likely thought to himself. Finally it hits turn 5, with a prolonged shit loving smirk, I lay down my first Grim Patron, 'Your opponent has left the game'.
SUPER EXCITED TO PLAY THIS DECK!!!!
I had a lot of success with this deck for a while, but eventually, people started to figure out what I was doing. I found that waiting until turn 11 is the best time to combo because they're expecting it on turn 10. Great deck, would recommend to new players.
I would make it a warrior deck and replace 5-10 of them with whirlwind - depending on the meta on the ladder
My favorite part is the dust cost!
Mulligan aggressively for Grim Patron.
If you have the coin you always keep a Grim Patron in hand and you automatically win.
Logged in just to upvote. Great deck, but I've swapped out 1 patron for mc tech, to counter the wisp heavy meta. I can't seem to deal with all the mill shamans around, any tips?
Gr8 m8, just hit legend with this deck! I r8 8/8
With grim patrons release knife juggler will be knife troller.
I know you did this post/deck just for fun. Ok I give you this, i laughed the 1st time i checked it. But i think you should delete it now. Imagine what will happen to this nice site if people start creating decks/posts like this one.
No offense, just my opinion
ill do a serious reply, cause this is a legit concern. This wont actually start happening. The only reason this deck even got noticed, was due to the fact that is is marked as a Blackrock deck. When we have a new set, at least 1 new set deck will show at the bottom right deck slot.
We were missing a mage deck (and for a few other classes), and thus that spot was blank on the mage tab (and for other classes missing one). Thus we needed to create a deck for each so that it was not blank.I made the mage one. However because this got like 3 upvotes, it made it to the default "all" slot for Blackrock.
99% of jokes decks, would never make it to that spot (and the only reason this one did, once again, was due to the blackrock slot, and there being no decks yet)
The blackrock spot is to show off that users can make blackrock decks already, and show off what users are thinking. This achieves the first reason, which is why it has not been deleted. It is not taking the place of a "real" deck you could use right now, as deleting it would just replace it with another deck with blackrock cards.
but what if you don't draw it by turn 5?
