Before continuing: I'm a troll player. I mainly play casual. If you use my decks in ladder, expect to lose 5 ranks minimum.
Why even post this deck?
It's a troll deck that I took from rank 17 to rank 15. OMG, a whole two ranks among people who statistically are in the bottom rung? Yep. It's oddly good, I'm going to see how far I can get with it before I throw my laptop against the wall.
This deck sucks!
Yep, right again. This deck was conceived because I hadn't used Metaltooth Leaper yet and I wanted to. I wanted to so damn bad, like an addict wants there fix. I suck so bad at this game because I try to take crap cards and make something of them. When I'm a bit surprised this deck worked at all.
But XYZ player already made a deck like this! You're an asshole!
Yeah, tell me something I don't know. Lots of people have inspired me. At this point, I assert there are very few truly original decks, but have you seen any deck on the front page of hearthpwn using Metaltooth Leaper? Yeah, me neither.
You read this far. You're either a masochist or someone bored with cookie cutter decks. I'll explain why I chose the cards I chose, and the overall strategy.
Overall Strategy
It's an aggro deck. Hit face. But not always. Sorry to say, this isn't a huntard deck, but for me it works. Stats? Oh I've one pi * r squared of my games. All of them against friends who concede immediately. Mad skills, yo.
Card Reasons
This card is retarded. Kill an Ancient of Lore for zero mana, and then play a Skar on turn 6? Broken.
Spare parts are awesome. Plus, this deck really needs a turn one, and with metaltooth leaper, if this card survives, it's 4/1 later in the game.
We have so little card draw. This card cycles itself, and it's a turn 1 drop which we need desperately.
Because I want to believe that the designers watched the shit out of this movie. Just one, we're not a weapon deck. We go pew pew when we've run out of options, we don't hit face with our face.
Card cycle mainly, and because this card can save us against a couple of horrible secrets, mainly Explosive Trap. Only one. If you hit lots of secrets, make your peace, it wasn't meant to be.
OMG! The other play just sat there and ran a crappy card into it! Yeah, it happens, but if you can take control of the board, the tempo lost playing this card (yes, no mad scientologists in this deck) might make the opponent quit.
This card annoys the shit out of me, so I play it to annoy the shit out of other people. Who'd have thought a goldshire boot licker would be such a pain in the ass? But it combos well with Krullzooka and Metaltooth leaper, and is also a pain in general.
I didn't include this card originally, and then I tried this current deck with it. (Wo)Man, what a difference. Who cares if we have no card draw, we're aggro. We can vomit our deck onto the board, and then pew pew. Plus a 4/3 mechwarper who got metaltoothed leapered is a great sight.
If it lives, you win. It's like an undertaker that doesn't require other cards, but only if it lives.
Another card I was going to leave out, and then I realized it synergized well with the strategies of this deck. Since this deck loses without board control, there's not a single form of this card that is bad. Who cares if it's a beast that hasn't found the joys of skynet or the borg?
I threw this in for demoralization.
Sticky like cotton candy. This is a prime leaper target.
The entire reason this card exists. Remember that the effect is a Battlecry. Don't be an idiot like me and get on ladder and go, "Why aren't the mechs I'm playing getting the effect?" The upside of this card is that the effect is permanent. Try your best to play this behind Annoy-o-Tron.
This card has turned out better than expected due to the spare parts. Plus it's still a 3/3 if all else fails.
Protect your stuff! An Arcane Nullifier turns into a 4/5 with a Metaltooth Leaper. Ouch.
Stupidly good card.
Take out them Sludge Belchers.
