NEW VERSION: This version is based on top sludge warlock deck. https://www.d0nkey.top/decks?rank=legend

The only thing I changed is Fracking, this still seems useless for me. Funrace Fuel is way better when combined with Waste Remover. Symphony of Johnny Sins is great game ender, you have good board in turn 4 often, and if you find +6/+6 buff you're rich. Also good to combine with Sir Finley: play symphony, you lost your board in turn 6 due to some shenanigans from your opp and your opp has low hp and you need to win this turn, swap your hand and try to find any/all of 2 spells that deal 6 damage to enemy face.

And again about matchups:

1) thaddius warlocks: every time when I play against them I think "literally wtf", they always have thaddius in turn 6, but this doesn't mean they always have perfect hand to kill you. Try to create board of big minions in control terms, then kill thaddius after bad opening, you win.

2) Drill rogue: everyone plays this deck now, so I switched to aggro version of sludge warlock and did cut off discard core. It was slow, but effective against some decks like bbb dk, maybe I will return to it later if meta will turn again.

3) Druid: happily this deck works even greater against them (treant/ramp) with new early game minions.

OUTDATED VERSION: I changed the deck list, if you need old deck with discards here it is AAECAZbHBAKdpAWAngYO+dgE/+EEq5IFx8IFyMIF3cIF1/oF5v8FlZcGlpcGl5cGmJcG96MGpqgGAAA=

Progress with this deck: 10000 legend => 6500 legend, I guess it's good tier 2 deck to climb with 50+ winrate if you handle it right

This deck has 3 cores that work on one win-condition — lowering health of your opponent: minion-core, discard-core and destroy-core.

Minion-core: make board presence with imps and 7/7 demons, set your good 4 or 5 turn with preset Forge of Wills and +3/+3 buff card. For example, you play second, you have coin, put first Forge in turn 2, second forge on turn 3, get 3 7/7 minion on turn 4. Or slower but stronger setup: you play first, 2 forge of wills on turn 3 and 4, on turn 5 you put 7/7 demon, buff him +3/+3 and you get 3 10/10 bodies. These are some shenanigans which help you against slow decks with bad removals on high hp minions like dk or mage, but works against druid as well too if you play it before they get to reno or titan lol

Discard-core: there are many presets, the only way to discard your hand entirely is Tome Tampering. This is often combined with destroy-core and I'll write you why later. Discard is what you use only to end your game or left your opponent that low amount of health so you would kill him in some turns with your minions or destroying your deck.

Destroy-core: That's all about Steamcleaner and Waste Remover. Steamcleaner has insane synergy with Tome Tampering, but you can't have both in hand, you'll have to topdeck him after you play Tome Tampering. Also there is a little anti-synergy with demon and mech because mech burns all the sludges and demon begins to burn your good cards, if you wanna play long game it might backfire.

In both ways (discard or destroy) you can combine destroyers with arcanist to get more spell damage. It doesn't have often use but sometimes she's good to put with Pop'gar + Crescendo or tome or steamcleaner etc.

PLAYSTYLES VS CURRENT META:

slow decks (bbb dk, warrior, druid): make strong beginning, if you sucked try to destroy opponent with your sludges, remember that any control opponent gains less health or armor than you can tempo out, the most important from you is board control, if you won't do it all your sludges will be thrown to 1/1 peewees, vs reno decks also try to play around "8 mana clean all your board and locations", you are not stupid aggro deck that loses after your opponent plays board removal, you can play until your own fatigue

treant druid: just play control, crescendo will help you, this is very good matchup, I have 90%+ winrate against them

excavate rogue: try not to die, your will lose your board presence very often, try to make something out if you lose early game

sif-mage: control your health, if you drop below 10, your game is over, careful with fatigue cards

when opponent has sludges in deck too (generated via steal, echo, other sludge players): careful with steamcleaner, it might clean your board before you attack

paladin: try to win in lategame, removals will pwn you often
