Hearthpwn

Played since 2014 (after Beta release), where I mained HandLock and Freeze Mage throughout Classic, Naxx, GvG and onwards. Using this as a sidepick deck to climb to Legend in 2022, trying to keep my Control Warrior as my main pick.

Pretty standard list for Classic Freeze mage. I pick Novice Engineer over Loot Hoarder, because I value direct draw over the deathrattle. There's something to say for both, really. 

Tech choices:

• Molten Giant has saved me countless of times in clutch situations against zoo/aggro. Paired with Ice Block, you can turn the tides IF you play your cards at the right moment. 
• One copy of Mirror Image works really well when protecting your Doomsayer or when you need to buy yourself a turn's worth of healthpoints. 

Final tip: If you find yourself facing waves of Control Warriors or Control Healadins, I'd advise you to immediately switch to another deck. There's approximately 2-3% chance you're getting EXACTLY the cards you need and your opponent draws the WORST cards possible, otherwise both matchups are just dead losses. 

Mulligan Guideline:

- Versus aggro: Frostbolt, Molten Giant, Doomsayer and any type of draw

- Versus midrange: Purely go for draw cards, with Doomsayer being the only exception to provide either a stall turn or counter early rushed out minions. 

- Versus control: Pray for Alexstrasza and a perfect order of draws in form of burst damage

Edit 16/8: Swapped my Control Warrior this August season. Went from Bronze to Diamond 2 in a few days worth of playing solely with this deck (bar from 2-3 games with Warrior for quests). Dominates against Aggro decks, Miracle Rogue and anything Warlock (Zoo/Handlock), average against Midrange decks and Combo Druid. 

Edit 22/8: Reached Legend using this deck roughly ~95% this deck, used my Control Warrior (see description) for the last two ranks.
