You can add the questline if u want but know that the interaction doesn't apply to the Hero card's hero power unless you hold off on damaging your opponent with your spells until you play the hero card and that could prove difficult.

PS : IF you want more of a hybrid version between secret and quest, just replace a few optional minions like sunreaver spy and ram tamer with cheap damaging spells. That will help you to finish the quest faster and get the power up on the turn you like.
