Hi guys,
I have experimented a lot with bomb warrior and came up with this list that is currently doing extremely well in legend laddering (around 70% win rate). Best of all, this deck is very fun to play! Here are some short Q/A and matchup guide.
vs Demon Hunter - favored due to ability to clear board easy and gain armor, also they draw a lot and we just LOVE when they draw our bombs.
vs Mage - 100% win rate, they just cant do anything to you.
vs Hunter - 100% win rate, they just cant do anything to you.
vs Priest - even. Yes, you cant go face so easily, but this matchup is usually decided by your bombs RNG.
vs Druid - even. Depends if you can get your bombs going early, and also if you have your Risky Skipper in hand.
vs Warlock - favored. They draw a lot and our bombs usually do the job.
vs Warrior - slightly favored. Most warriors play NoHandsGamer list, I belive this is slightly better in mirror due to bombs.
vs Paladin & Shaman - are these a class?
Q/A

Q: Why Bomb warrior?A: Its fun. It denies Higlander decks without using albatros.
Q: Why Maiev?
A: This is pure anti-priest and anti-druid card, you can replace it.
Q: What to mulligan?
A: Keep Sky Raider , Ancharrr, Corsair Cache - always play it turn 2.
Q: What cards are not core?
A: Mayev, Bloodsworn Mercenary, Clockwork Goblin

Enjoy your EZ legends, those who havent got it yet! And gl with those bombs!
The below should work. This was the final variation and a deck that's still winning in legend nicely. Its a more control version. I used this around D3 - legend. Before I was using a more aggressive version with korkron (which I got to D1 with but went on a string of losses back to D3). I don't run any taunts but you will see that's probably not necessary given the rest of the control nature of the deck. It requires a bit of a different play style to the more aggressive versions and it goes pretty all in on the bombs, even with the hoard pillager to get more bombs.

Keep in mind that shield block + hero power + shield slam is exactly 7 damage to kill priestess. Evil quartermaster with a rush lackey or shield slam can remove DH 4/2 minion. I found this deck also has a much better matchup vs mage than the other deck list since we have means to deal with their summon two 6 cost minion spell (which often gives them something hard to deal with like cairne, but we can deal with it by simply brutce forcing our way through them with shield slams, weapon and rushes).
It feels good too when you can play blastmaster boom on curve with three bombs in their deck already due to clockwork goblin + weapon.
Thanks for the reply and the other deck list. Your deck listed here did work well for me D10 - D5 as I said then I think what the issue was is that people started running a different DH list (a more optimized tempo list) including one copy of acidic swamp ooze in some cases to and more 1 drops. I went through a lot of iterations of this deck and tried many different variations but am happy to report I did use a bomb warrior to go D5 - legend with a 68% win rate. I did try korkron elite and it was good in some cases for finishing and copying and as another removal but you're right in that it was bad for tempo and felt like a dead card. While the rampages and korkron elites were fun, I ended up ultimately getting rid of them (although I think a deck with a copy of rampage in it would be good and still fun, since I won some games by rampaging a warmaul challenger.
The deck I got to legend with I actually added a second clockwork goblin (and I even tried taking them out completely). One reason was to get zephyr and other unfair stuff out of the picture asap and to make blastmaster boom live asap.
Nice stuff, mate, glad deck and it variations work for you. 68% win rate is very good and approximately the same I had when I tracked stats. Would be nice if you shared your currect deck list, so I can try it too.
Alright so as an update I played a fair bit with this deck. I got from D10 to D5 fast at a 75% or so win rate. However, it then just took a turn for the worst and I lost most games since and down to a 58% win rate and looks like it is dropping. I won just one out of the last 10 games. The deck struggles significantly against priest. It's not favored vs DH at all in my opinion. The trouble is vs DH you must have skipper and armor smith and pirates to play to clear their board and gain armor. If you don't draw armorsmith you just lose. Also you lose against any other aggro deck if you don't draw armorsmith. If you don;t get ancharr early too you lose usually since you can't get skipper. The deck seems quite inconsistent to me. You can go on really lucky streaks with it and get good RNG and then other times you just lose. It's also quite easy to lose vs mage I think. They have tonnes of board clear/freezes. If they keep summoning two 6 cost minions they can get some really strong stuff like cairne which this deck just cannot deal with. They can also make your whole board go poof. Ideally of course you want to live until they get bombed but the mage knows this is the plan and so they go for a big mid range push usually and without drawing specific cards by turn 10 - 11 or so to deal with that, you're going to lose.
That being said, it can be quite a strong deck and does every well vs certain matchups. It's quite decent vs warlock. It's very good vs rogue (a matchup the poster did not deal with). I never lost to a secret rogue. Druid and mage are winnable. Hunter is a very good matchup. I didn't see many other warriors but I won vs the ones I did see. The problem though is the deck's relatively poor performance vs DH. Putting bombs in their deck seems like a luxury one cannot afford. Rather, we have to assemble combo pieces such as armor smith, skipper and sky raider asap so we can get out of lethal range.
Thx for taking your time testing and commenting. I agree you can have very variative experience due to bombs being rng. Sometimes you just dont draw any and loose. I also agree that lately my DH matchups have been worse, maybe due to they changed they deck. I still lost to only 1 mage due to his heavy luck with box and 1 agro Hunter with perfect start.
I will continue testing to see if some more defensive / offensive options will work better
I think looking at this what we need to do is get rid of the skybarge package. Basically, take out skybarge, southsea deckhand and the dread corsairs. Keep risky skipper and sky raider obviously. The skybarge package is too slow and clunky and not really good enough. The dread corsair taunt doesn't come on line fast enough. My experience also is that inner rage is REALLY strong. You can, for example, play bomb wrangler and inner rage it and then in the mid game copy it with bloodsworn mercenary. That's a really nice play. Just getting bomb wrangler online though and get some damage on it with inner range to get a bomb and increase its attack is important not just for a tempo perspective on turn 3 but also because damaging it protects it against rogues. I think for taunts we need to run injured tol-vir. That does three things, firstly it gives a 2 mana taunt which can contest battlefield, stops it getting killed by rogues with their 3 mana invoke and it also provides a wounded minion for battlerage. We could also keep in the dread corsairs just because of synergy and then run four taunts.
We can then add in say warmaul challenger to provide further damaged minions which is able also to contest things on the board immediately. It also has high hp so won't die so easily and can hang around a turn for another body on the board for a big skipper turn.
I also thought of adding korkron elite, even if just one copy, because it contests the 6/4 DH puts out and it's not bad for closing some games out against control (you can inner rage it and then copy it with bloodsworn for 12 damage and more if you play rampage). Rampage might be good to play on bomb wrangler or armorsmith. My gut feeling though is that the deck can only run one korkron elite and one copy of rampage. Our win condition vs control is going to be the bombs anyway so the goal of the deck would not really be to do a korkron elite + inner rage + rampage + bloodsworn combo but if you do happen to get those cards in your hand it's a suprise 18 damage. It may help the priest matchup a little bit. Another reason to one just one copy of korkron elite is running kargath might be good to contest the 6/4 minion.
I also think slam has to go or be reduced to one copy. It's too dead in the early game vs DH and in general not strong enough. Spending 2 mana to draw a card isn't good. Doing 2 damage but leaving a minion up is usually going to be worthless in my experience (they play their 6/4 that does 4 damage and we slam it and get a card then what?). Slam doesn't fit into the big combo turns either since we arn't running wild pyromancer. Slam is also a dead card in many other matchups like vs facehunter and mage.
Well, with all these suggestions its gonna be a whole different deck. Actually, it will be exactly same deck I used to get legend with. I have also posted it here long ago, but people wasnt interested, but it surely is a damn strong deck, so those are good suggestions.
Kor Kron elite is good as a finisher with a copy combo though, as a tempo card its bad. About slam, I often use it to clear early DH minions, as they have 2 HP, you dont need to wait for the value. But yes, it can be cut.
Here, take a look at my first list, maybe it fits you better. I got legend with it in 2 days, so its absolutely viable:

I only played one game with this deck so far but I just wanted to say it was hilarious sweet demon hunter tears. He ended up just conceding. I have NEVER seen a DH concede under any circumstances before. Much fun to be had:)
Edit: it was also good vs hunter. I am not sure though how this is even vs priest. Priest can just set up a wall of heal taunts and you just lose. There is nothing you can do.
It also cannot possibly be 100 percent vs DH because you lose if you don't draw armorsmith.
Potentially fun deck, but gets easily overwhelmed, sorry :(
This website does not work with posting images, so just gonna share the score through text-
2-4
Lost even vs mage and shaman :/
Again, if you loose to a mage, you do something very, very wrong. I have played from legend 25000 to legend 10000 and havent lost to a single mage. Maybe its just me who win 70% of my games with this deck, but clearly 6 games just aren't enough to learn it.
The deck can not be easily overwhelmed, as it has all the tools to defend early, gain a lot of armor to stabilize and finish off with bombs.
0-5 against 3 DH, 1 warlock and 1 shaman on Dia 4-3.
I am sorry mate, you have to do something very wrong. Versus DH, keep risky skipper untill they have board, play weapon first, then just destroy their board with skipper, and then you are ahead and in control. It goes with same scenario almost always. I cant remember last time I lost versus DH.
Let me know how you ladder terrorizing is going!
