Kel'Thuzad was added in the Curse of Naxxramas Adventure. He is available from Wing 5 - The Frostwyrm Lair which opened on August 19th, 2014, and is obtained after defeating the adventure boss Kel'Thuzad.
Trivia
- Kel'Thuzad can abuse the AI in many PvE boss fights when combined with a Taunt minion - the AI has no idea how to handle it and ends their turn!
- His effect activates at the end of turn phase, which means minions who die from other end of turn effects such from those found on Ragnaros the Firelord and Power Overwhelming will not be resurrected by Kel'Thuzad.
- Minions are returned to the board in the order in which they died.

This guy does some heavy lifting. He won't save you when you are horribly behind, but if you manage to have any board and can trade off minions and drop him, this guy will pretty much seal the deal. Good at parity, good when you are ahead.
He really shines if you can trade minions and then drop him, getting all your minions back.
Great card, but tends to be a "win more" card, as it is not nearly as good as it can be on its own.
I just got the ideal setup in a game with Stalagg and Feugen. Ended the game with 5 Thaddiuses on the board.
I hate this card makes me so pissed when people play it >:(
This card is BS, if you don't have something that can autowipe its game over. he is hard to kill on his own, and with a tank card its impossible. too buff.
Not really. The ability only triggers if he's alive and not silenced at the end of a turn. There are a variety of cards that will destroy, transform or silence him... you just have to have one ready, but that's the trick.
It's more difficult if your opponent gets him out and copies him, but I can only think of Shaman and Druid combos to do that in one turn, and they're both turn 10 (maybe 9 in the case of Druid) or later.
Ok, so we have Kel'thuzad, now all we need is a death knight class with arthas as the hero and sindragosa as the legendary.
Sludge belcher + Kel'Thuzad gg.
Quite possibly one of the best cards to play when you are at board parity. You devour your opponent's guys and get to keep everything. Even if you're ahead this guy will be your sweeper insurance. And when you play him naked, he is still rather large!
He's robust and very busted. Or in short: robusto.
You mean pull them from a pack? Its because they have to be earned by playing the adventure mode.
If you didn't know, you can craft gold cards with dust. Go to Crafting Mode and click the box that says "Show gold cards". The Naxxramus cards are there but you can only craft them if you have unlocked them in the first place.
I think that this card is over powered when played in combination with the Shaman card Ancestral Spirit
Or Reincarnate for that matter... end result is same as Faceless Manipulator.
When played at the right time this can end a game ^_^
Finally, now 'graveyard' decks are a possibility!
Running a control tauntadin with this guy in it, even one sludge belcher with this guy is gg unless they have silence.
I'm finding most of the time I'd still rather play rag for an 8 drop, but rag has always been the best <3
I think his stats are a bit too much if you take into account his super-powerful and awesome ability. Maybe 5-7 or 5-6 would be more fair.
After using it for a while I can definitely say that Kel'Thuzad is my new favorite card :D
Kel'Thuzad is instant concede every time i put him on the board together with any number of other minions... He's insane.
i just put kelthuzad in a zoo deck... hunter used explosive trap and i killed my whole board on purpose, then played kelthuzad
