Man I wish they had some system to remove some random outcomes from some cards.

Like doomsayer. Doomsayers should never spawn from random effects like Shredders. It just completely wrecks the game when it happens. Like, literally as bad as just a disconnect.

Same for MCTech triggers, basically. It just turns the game randomly upside down.

That's the same as your game just bugging out. Like WHOOPS THIS TURN YOUR ENTIRE HAND WAS DISCARDED DUE TO A BUG LEL TOO BAD. That's the same feeling as when a Doomsayer spawns from like an evolve or a shredder.

Can't wait for Shaman to be nerfed back into oblivion.
Shaman and Hunter are the two classes I never want to see beyond tier 3 ever again until they fix the hero powers.

The problem is, no matter how good you are, the game will still decide to take a dump on you from time to time and I personally get tilted very quickly when it does.
I'm not saying there's no skill, I'm saying the devs are sabotaging the game.

I made legend, had an almost exactly 7 win avg in arena for hundreds of games... I'm not bitching because I just can't cut it. I've always said the same thing: It's a great game with a lot of fundamental design flaws that are never owned up to by the devs. They make mistake after mistake and refuse to do anything.

They don't even have to fix everything, just CHANGE THINGS FASTER.

At least then you've tried. At least then you've made the game evolve and you've given people a reason to come back beyond daily quests.

Read the replies here. Most people play only to do quests and then they close the game. That's a large portion of the player base. Legend is 0.1%, rank 5 is something like 3%. It's ridiculous how low ranking the average player is and I think it's not for lack of skill or time. People just don't WANT to play the game, they just feel they HAVE to, because of the quests.

As a veteran player there's really nothing that warrants continuing playing besides quests and tavern brawl.

Again tavern brawl, great idea, extremely slow moving and rife with mismanagment and questionable decisions. There's a "rate this brawl" poll in the brawl forum and most weeks the average is less than 2.5/5.

Like, seriously? It's a team of 50 people backed with some industry veterans and millions of dollars of funds and they can't crack 2.5 /5 on brawls?

After 3+ years when they have Q&A sessions, most of their answers is something like "We don't have systems in place for that".

Even when they have systems in place, they don't change things anyway.

    bah.

I have played the game for nearly two years and I have never been able to play for over 2 straight hours without becoming so enraged I feel like smashing the nearest piece of furniture.

Well sometimes you just win a lot of games in a row.
The start is fun when you can climb ladder with sort of bad decks and your decisions matter but now decisions are completely irrelevant.

There's no new players in arena or ranked. I play almost strictly gold heroes even in casual, it's ridiculous. That means there's zero new blood in the game or they're basically just corraling all the new players into some safe space so they can suck a few bucks out of them before they quit.

There's no quests, still no achievements, nothing to make progress except gold heroes ( idiotic ).

I mean. It's just almost criminal to suck this hard at designing a game. The only reason you know of Hearthstone is that they basically were first to market and they had the huge marketting backing of Blizzard to force the game on their existing player base.

But apparently other games like Shadowverse that started from nothing are rapidly catching up, because apparently Hearthstone is pure shit design-wise and I've yet to see anyone disagree.

I'd play other card games if I was interested but I know that if I like them I'll just waste my time so I just keep grinding Hearthstone and adding onto my giant pointless dust pile lol.

There's some slight fun moments in the game and it's a good game with still a lot of potential, but every day is just a struggle to comprehend how humans can be so shit at responding to costumer demand.

A decent amount. Usually I just do quests on 3 accounts and then log off.

Recently I've been playing more Reno Dragon Priest in standard and wild because it's a fun deck. I used to play mostly arena but that got ruined. Ranked is also ruined for the most part but I just play it casually with dumb decks, and play some wild, but probably 80% of the games are shit right now.

I play Brawls a lot when they're decent, which now is like.. 20% of the time only.

So. Yeah. The game is addictive when you first start but you quickly run out of thing to do and at this point the best part of the game is bitching about how it sucks lol.

Why shaman is better than warrior and frustrating to play against: Shaman is based around winning more.

That's why it sucked for a long time. It has no way to start winning, so the hero power became blank and cards like Mana Tide totem and Flametongue didn't do anything.

But suddenly, with good early game, all those cards become a massive problem and make the one really terrible thing about Hearthstone even worse: the coin flip of the early game.

That's how shaman can snowball an early lead into a crushing victory.

Shitty design brings you shitty results guys. Congrats.

So, Blizzard, when is big time cancer getting nerfed? Or do you first need to ''look into it'' for a couple of months?

You just don't understand the deep complex issues at hand.

For instance, what if nerfing pirates makes different cards be played? I don't think we can handle that. What if suddenly Angry Chicken has no counter? No one can predict this without testing at the Hearthstone Card Testing Lab.
We can only pray that government funding comes through because 400 million in profits just might not be enough.

Cost of changing one line of code: 401 million.

    Damn maybe next year, Patches!

posted a message on Highest skill cards?

What are the cards that require the most skill to play?

    My two:
1- Kazakus. I'm sure I've won a lot of games from opponent screwing this up. Knowing when to play Kazakus ( do you wait for brann?) and what to get with him ( two 10s? two 5s? 1 and 10? ) is extremely situational and important. Yes there is some RNG involved but they at least made the spell order correct no matter when you pick the option ( if you pick resurrect and then sheep, it doesn't resurrect and then sheep your minions ).

2- Brann. I find this card quite fun and find it a bit of a shame that people almost exclusively use it with Kazakus. Using Brann with any of the discover cards is extremely powerful, giving you a very strong ability to pick situational cards, but you have to know when to save Brann and then what kinds of cards to pick. More importantly, you have to know when NOT to save Brann and your Battlecries, which is the very interesting portion of this. Sometimes it's correct to tempo Brann or just drop him and pray he lives a turn. Sometimes you lose by waiting to draw Brann for your Kazakus. I'm sure a TON of games were won or lost based on this interaction alone, with bad players failing to understand when to drop Brann or Kazakus. For instance I see a lot of people slam Brann + Kazakus on turn 7, then later play a Babbling Book or a Kabal Courier. Sometimes this is correct, sometimes this is game-losing.

    What about yours?

I made this RenoGimme priest deck: http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/726311-rank5-reno-dragon-priest

Lost 1 game going from rank 9 to 5 lol.
    Something like 10-1

For some reason this deck has been better than every other Priest deck I've played so far.

edit: Currently rank5, 5stars, still just one loss from rank 9. Good times, good times.

Also they really need to fix the fact that pries can't deal with 4 attack minions. It was cute at first, but now it's just stupid.
Making the game into more of a "you need super specific answers" is bad.

As priest for instance you can't deal with Twilight Drake or Azure Drake. All the current removal is dragon/power related.

    It's just insufferably dumb,.

How can we even punish blizzard for being so slow-moving with obvious nerfs?

It'd be nice. I guess stop playing the game? lol.
But that sucks. It's like George Lucas and his shitty prequels and special editions. We don't want to stop loving Star Wars, we just want George Lucas to die in a fire.
