When both minions die at the same moment, the deathrattle of the one summoned first, activates first. So if you played your Unstable Ghoul before he played his Harvest Golem everything worked as intended.

AlphaNapster posted a message on is this a bug? or it's designed this way???Posted in: General DiscussionI was actually thinking this same thing earlier today. From what I think happens is Deathrattle trigger is immediate from when the Unstable Ghoul dies whereas the Pyromancer ability triggers after the spell has resolved. The timing is a bit odd but Pyromancer says after you play the spell deal 1 damage to all minions. Deathrattle triggers as soon as it dies. I agree with you the Damaged Golem should die to the Unstable Ghoul deathrattle but for some reason it dies, rattles, then the Harvest Golem Rattles and summons the Damaged Golem. Makes no sense whatsoever.

user-14689503 posted a message on Wrote myself a Tough Love Letter about raging at the ladder.Posted in: General DiscussionWhenener I have a losing streak of 3-4, I always blame myself and not my luck. I noticed that a lot of people think that winning is all about drawing the right cards in the right time, but this is the biggest misbelief in my opinion. I got to legend recently, but I needed to be patient because I had my ups and downs like everyone else. If I was losing a lot, I changed my deck/class or took a brake when on tilt and continued playing later.
Every game needs 100% concentration, seriousness, and respecting the opponent in order win. Even now I think I'm not a good player, I know I am making a lot of mistakes, I don't want to live in an illusion that if I lose it's because of luck. I wish the same mentality for everyone who wants to improve. Watching streams is a very good way to learn, there are decent players out there who are not a waste of time to watch.

OldWestHero posted a message on Wrote myself a Tough Love Letter about raging at the ladder.Posted in: General DiscussionSad face: "Raging" at the ladder. Now I'm 'ranging' at typos.
So, I've had more time lately and I've been working on Laddering up to Legend. My highest rank so far as been 8, but because of time constraints I haven't gotten to Ladder as much as I'd like to.
I started having trouble lower than I expected to and kept going on losing streaks after a loss (pretty much riding streaks up to 10, then snowballing back down to 14-16) and didn't give myself an honest chance to think why. So today, since I needed a post for my blog, I wrote myself a response after sitting in a cafe during my lunch break and noticing a woman staring at me when I shouted "Oh what the fuck?" after getting top decked hard.
If you're having trouble laddering pre-Rank 5 and don't understand why, maybe it'll help you get your mind right. Here's an excerpt:
One of the biggest things that’ll keep you from moving forward in the ranks of a TCG is not respecting that there’s another human brain on the other side of that table (or in this case, computer screen) who could be less skilled, less experienced, and have less shiny, fancy cards – but wins because he plays smarter than you. One of my favorite things about TCGs is the fact that they are all about intelligence but its easy to forget to tell myself that was a stupid play and you deserved that loss. As in most things in life, you have to take responsibility for your failings if you want to improve — nobody is perfect and pretending to be just distracts you from achieving your goals.
Hopefully you guys enjoy the post, but more importantly, hopefully it helps someone get their mind right for winning and moving up in the ranks.

way to revive an old/dead thread!
it means you're disconnected

i used to be a fan of aggro decks, games were fast and win streaks go up and up!
then after i started playing 9/4 priest, i started loving control priest so much
on the other hand i've tried handlock+control paladin, they were too hard to play to suit my taste
tbh, i like them all, the only decks i find i dont like are hard to play decks, including most control decks+miracle rogue
1
to me...the only true counters to priest are freeze mage, handlock, miracle rogue + maybe druid with lots of 4att minions
this is coming from a guy who just started playing priest recently...so takee it with a grain of salt
in order to beat priest efficiently, constant supply of pressure + having 4 att minions help pressure priests as well
Also count the removal cards used, count the cabals used, and turn 10 is mind control...
If you ever drop a big fat minion, make sure you have a counter to your own minion in case mind control/syvlannas steal
I used to hate priest since they own my aggro decks. However, after i started playing with it, it seeems a load of fun steal minions+cards+doing crazy combos. It's like finding a new game!
1
rag isn't worth it in this current meta, too many bgh's running around
as a warrior you are better off with syvlannas first
shield slam+syvlannas or syvlannas then brawl = steal
also as a warrior, you often fall behind in terms of board...syvlannas helps you bring back the board control
so my first choice would be syvlannas then cairne/tbk
5
in a few hours everybody will be rank 16-20, looks like nobody will add you then
3
so by your logic...let me ask you these questions
so sludge belcher is played in nearly almost every deck, is he overpowered as well?
rag was in every control deck before the nerf on buzzard, was he overpowered as well?
cairne, syvlannas, tbk are in every single control deck nowadays, are they overpowered too?
haunted creepers/undertaker are in every aggro deck, are they overpowered too?
fireball is in nearly every single mage deck, is that overpowered as well?
each class has class staple cards, so every single class is overpowered?
so is every single staple in deck overpowered as well?
if that's the logic...maybe twilight drakes, giants, ancient of lore/wars, innervate, hex, earthshock, etc. and nearly every single good card in game is overpowered, so can we plz nerf the whole game!!!

always try out different stuff, get a feel and experience for decks
instead of constantly saying a deck is supposed to suck against blah blah blah, try thinking it the other way around, how to tweak so it doesn't suck?
and honestly it's about grinding and reading the flow of the meta...if you can catch that meta train and has a perfect counter to it that minute, you're set!
Notice each mistakes played by yourself, and ask yourself why? Played too fast? Too reckless? Most likely didn't plan it out far enough! Many times after ending the turn, I catch my own mistake right before opponent plays anything. Try talking out loud of every move you're about to make, use logic/reasons (can watch trump if you dunno how)
Also the more you play with a specific deck/class, the better you will become with it. Say you've played priest for 2 months, initially you couldn't see crazy combos for the life of you, after many matches+experience you starting to say crazy combo's within seconds. This is knowing your deck and experience/skills gained with your deck
Anyway, I wish you good luck

yea style of play is so important
i initially tried standard control priest, it was so hard to play
then i tried tempo priest, even then it was hard to play effectively for me
finally i've tried 9/4 priest, it feels so good to play it, played over a hundred game with it, i've tweaked it alot and made the deck mine that is very different from the original version
it became the priest deck that i know what i was doing, i run crazy combos but i dont run crazy circle of healing sheninegan combos...those circle combos are harder to see compared to my crazed alchemist combos lol
also after all the tweakings and experience i've gathered, it was even working in legend rank
and of course once you've played a deck over long periods of time eventually you'll gain efficiency+understanding of it...but the initial spark of interest is required and not try it once and give up
also how one interprets a deck can be different for everyone
1
yea go tell him boy!
lol i couldn't even think of so many cards off the top of the head
seems like this thread was originally designed to be an informative post, which ended up as failure due to lack of knowledge/experience in hearthstone...or a hidden troll in disguise
