I knew this was gonna happen. The moment they announced there was no hero reward for the new year I had that gut feeling. But now we got confirmation of it now that we have ANOTHER $80 Mega Bundle with a hero skin locked to it.
None of these are available elsewhere, and now it's clear it's going to continue. We said no to paywalled heroes when they were first announced back in 2015. We didn't buy the $10 heroes, so we got free heroes instead as rewards for doing something, and everyone loved them. But now, the only way we can get hero skins now is by forking over $80 for these preorders. What used to be free rewards we all loved, is now another money grubbing tactic used by Activision.
I do most of my quests in Casual Wild and for at least the 6 last months almost every opponent I've faced was a bot playing basic cards only and farming gold.
They always have a name with caps and numbers, like the last one B884822 and the current one X4FB06F. Edit: Third opponent called R000666.
It's time for Blizzard to do something and start banning them.
I will be dusting these HoF cards immediately and crafting all the golden versions, since we get full dust refund these will be free! plus you still have the dust of the cards you disenchanted now
you'll lose more dust than you gain. The best bet is to do nothing (if you have normals), craft golden (if you have the dust but no copies of the cards)
I way thinking about building an even mage deck since I'm tired of the same odd decks. Are there any decent even mage decks that people run? Or did it die off with the spiteful nerf
Wild have a decent even mage, in Standard don't make the cut, you can't go the tempo route without the secrets and can't go the control route without the DK and the 1 mana hero power is not that great like shaman, paladin and warlock.
Unless you manage to come up with some sort of crazy ping-based deck that hasnt been thought of yet. Who knows?
So, to start. Hearthstone, for me, is obfuscated by one thing. Staleness.
However, this is a double-edged sword. MTG(A) has had bad metas too.
Now, for UI. Hearthstone wins, by far. MTG's is fine, just.... nowhere near as good as Hearthstone's.
And, last point I'll bring up is F2P fairness.
1.- And don't forget too much RNG. Staleness happens on every game out there. The issue i believe is more important here, is that 3 sets a year (1 release every 4 months) are too few, and contribute to a staleness feeling. (1st month is experiment, 2nd-3rd month meta is defined, and 4th month is "stale" enough, waiting for the next set). MTG has 4 sets yearly. Also, MTG sets have way more cards than HS.
Also, MTG allows you to mix colors, when HS doesn't (classes).
The best solutions for staleness would be IMO: - 4 sets a year, or 3 + 1 adventure (F2P's will cry about this) - Monthly Nerfs - Change rotation cycles (newest set rotates oldest one) - Rotate classic and basic, and launch v.2.0 of the, with a new mindset on policies
2.- UI is good on both of them. MTGA needs more polishing, but it's still in beta (and has been improving a lot). Also MTG plays very differently than HS.
3.- "Fairness" is difficult to balance. Both games are businesses on themselves and need people to spend money on them. The 18 month rotation policy on MTGA + wildcards + higher rewarding quests make it easier to collect cards, but also the 4 copies-of and minimum 60-card decks (in constructed) policies on MTGA makes it harder to collect them. Sadly, F2Ps are the ones that will always be behind the paying players in regards of collection.
I believe HS needs an update on this matter:
- Quests are fine right now - Winning rewards, beside the 3W-10 Gold are needed - Login rewards
Hope that helps mate. I play on Asia too and haven't noticed problems. I'm in the UK on home broadband.
Thanks mate. I think that might have blown my latest theory out of the water a bit as you're going through the 211.17x.x.x subnet that I thought may have been causing the issue.
Wish I knew how to read these tracert reports properly!!

Any phone over 200$ is a waste of money imo.

Working as intended.
Reno heals you to full health. So with auchenai it tries to "heal" you to 30 (no matter how much life you had) and instead deals you 30.

All ping-based cards are odd.....

I will cut parts of the text, to give a more appropriate answer
