posted a message on THE TINKERER --- Class Preview!

Like some other's have mentioned, including mechanics like Inspire and Spare Parts in the base and classic set isn't a good idea. I think classic and basic cards should adhere to the same restrictions that other classes have on those cards. If you were going to do a Classic only match, Tinker vs Mage/Druid/etc, it'd be odd to see spare parts and the like.

Aside from that, I think the class needs some diversity. The mechanics are too focused on buffing mechs, there might not be enough deck archetypes. I'd consider what types of decks this class could support besides mid-range and aggro rush.

Cool class! I love the hero power and overall feel. Fun to see the Classic "brewmaster" mechanic pushed a little further. I've got a few criticisms though:

Forgotten Spellbook and Pandaren Temple Guardian: It seems unusual for Classic cards to add cards from other classes to your hand. These mechanics feel like recent Gadgetzan mechanics and might be better suited for those sets, when you get to that.

Protect the Pandaria: This seems too powerful. If put on a big minion, even just some well statted 5 mana or 6 mana drop, it could win the game. I'm assuming Spellproof is the "elusive" power ( Can't be targeted by spells or Hero Powers.)? It isn't an actual bolded keyword, and it's a pretty rare effect. Even just a spell that gave Elusive would be pretty powerful, and might be worth 5 mana. Aside from power inbalance, what is this card about? It seems all over the place, and has a pretty generic name that matches its lack of specific focus.

Old Brewmaster: Similar problem, there is no Sap keyword. Take a look at the rogue Kidnapper and use that text.

Those are the only mechanical/balance problems I'm seeing, but thematically I think the class does need refinement. First, it's unusual for a class to be so heavily focussed on a single WoW race. Surely there could be dwarven brewmasters and human brewmasters and other races? This will also alleviate the constant use of the words Pandaria and Panderan in the card names. Beyond the panda fixation, the cards have very repetitive names. You've got Old Brewmaster and Old Panderan Brewmaster. You've got Protect the Pandaria and Pandarian Protector and Protect the Temple. Having names that are too similar is hard to avoid sometimes, but I think you can find some better names and flavor for some of these.

Anyway, keep up the good work! Play with the initial hero power mechanic some more, focus on cards in hand, and I think you could have a really cool class going here.
