Why does every single Eboladin topdeck a truesilver everytime they're 4 off lethal... Or mages with their fireballs... Or zoolocks with their fucking doomguards
Really nice Deck. I've been playing with a Demon/Handlock Hybrid before, with unsatisfying results (due to aggro and my inability to Play handlock properly) so I've been searching for something more midrange-y
If I want to play him, I need to have board control, for the Mistcaller is such a tempo loss when you play him, that when the opponent gets his hands on the board, a comeback as a Shaman is pretty much nonexistent. So, is Mistcaller that good of a card we expected him to be?
Although I find Aviana the coolest legendary in TGT, Varian outclasses her most of the times.
Aviana advantages:
She is a 9 mana card, so when you play her on t10, as long as you have a high mana creature on board, you get immediate value. The body, although not satisfying at all, isn't bgh-able, and since ramp druids tend to play high mana creatures early on, the opponent wastes precious removal before Aviana is played. On top of that, Druids have a high accessibility to mana crystals, so Innervate after Aviana might completely obliterate the opponent.
Varian advantages:
He doesn't need a setup and is the perfect t10 play most of the times. In worst case, he's a war golem with a nourish combined in 1card for 10 instead of 12 mana. In the best case, he puts 3 high mana cost creatures down, like Ysera, Ragnaros, Sylvanas, etc. Varian has an immeate effect. In most cases he will put 1-2 minions on the board, but even a cruel Taskmaster or Armorsmith have value, due to them being played for free. If no minions were summoned, you pretty much always will gain card advantage.
So it boils down to immediate and long term effects. Varian is absolutely insane when he summons at least 1 high mana cost minion. Aviana should also be played on t10 with a huge creature backing it up. What decides if Varian or Aviana is better, is pure luck. Varian can absolutely devastate the board with luck, just as easy as gaining no board (except his 7/7 body of course) but drawing 3 cards, whereas Aviana would get a creature on board in 90% of the times.
We can only say which are better after we see them in play. So let's wait and see, I guess

Yea that's sadly the case, especially if you try to play Shaman
