So half of decks above rank 5 are using pirates but you still think the meta should work itself out? I can't even with this crap

user-24085694 posted a message on I think reno rotating will reduce the effectiveness of extreme aggro and slow down the metaPosted in: Standard FormatIt's not really a chicken and egg problem. Aggro has been predominant since vanilla HS, Reno hasn't. It's clear the first came before the second, with the second being an answer to the first. Only shortsighted people would believe otherwise.
Basically these posts are about aggro players trying to play the role of the victim.Like the infamous Goebbels once said: "If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it."Amen that.
If you notice it's also interesting how the community/hearthstone started using and repeating the very same terms of Team5's PR bullshit behind nerfs and removing cards, things like "because it's unhealhty!" "because the community is toxic we can't communicate not because we don't want to!" and the like. -

user-21163857 posted a message on Ben Brode on Announcements of Announcements, Gadgetzan, Nerfs, & MorePosted in: NewsSpectator mode has room for serious improvement. Specifically, they'd like to adjust the opponent's cards so they're right-side up.You mean that this is like, a big thing ?
You sure that when they say the players wouldn't understand changes they'd make, they aren't talking about their own developpers ?
Because I'm pretty sure turning cards upside down is a VERY basic thing to do, especially in Unity. More importantly, if having them this way isn't a willing choice from them...Why was it that way in the first place ? What made someone go "Sh*t, I wasn't told which way to put the cards...Meh, I'll just make them unreadable to the spectators, for the lulz."
There are a wide variety of classes being played.I guess they are technically right. It's not because the 5 least played classes only make up the same % of the meta as the most "popular" one that they aren't played.
Hurray for technicality.
They are starting to believe they are a problem. They are STARTING to BELIEVE they are a problem ?
But hey, they didn't say "MIGHT be a problem", I guess we should be thankful.
Currently, the team is evaluating whether the problem is going to get worse, better, or stay the same.Okay, quick question : Who does it depend on but the developers ?
Like, does Team 5 not design the game ?
They don't want to announce any potential nerfs too early. If they do, then players feel like they're playing with a broken game because a patch isn't anywhere near ready yet.Better leave them playing a broken game all while thinking the developpers are just fine with how it is.
Cut from The Grand Tournament due to interactions with [card]One-Eyed Cheat[card]. 4/1 on turn 2 with insta-stealth.Because a 1 mana 3/2 ( Yeah let's not kid anyone here, it's a 3/2. ) looks so much tamer.
They think the card is fine in Wild - not too powerful.Which is more a testament to all the broken sh*t Wild is keeping out of Standard than the actual balance of that card.
The Hearthstone and World of Warcraft teams "constantly inspire each other".Oh so that's why WoW went from having the most powerful items in the game be the result of months-long quests, rewards for dedication, to giving them like candy via pure RNG. That actually explains so freaking much.
For those who stopped following WoW, this is NOT an hyperbole ; Now, Legendaries can drop in dungeons or when doing your dailies, and you are pretty much currently expected to have 2 legendaries - yes, the expansion isn't 6 months old ; Oh, and, best part, half of them is useless, and you can even loot tank legendaries when you're a DPS, guaranteeing you are subpar for the foreseeable future if you don't loot the right ones.

Pirates
- They are starting to believe they are a problem.
Starting to believe? The devs play to the game that they do?
I'm playing since the Heartstone beta, and it's the 1º time that I leave the game, this meta is ridiculous.
I'm bored playing against pirates 75% of the games, the other 15% Renolock, 5% another Reno Deck, and 5% other decks.
You can't play another decks If you do not want to make a fool of yourself.

Poodris posted a message on [Serious topic] Now that we had some time to test stuff, let's have a talkPosted in: Standard FormatMsg is a scam.
they pumped up 2 archetypes with OP garbage, knowing full well they are going to be destroyed by rotation (Reno and dragons) .
They made a 3rd, budget, option in pirates, knowing that either patches or stb would probably end up getting nerfed, causing everyone who doesn't have the collection/adventures to run 12k dust renolock screwed over.
they made 102 cards unplayable trash, and that's a generous assessment.
they only way they managed to reduce tier 0 mid-range shaman, was to make aggropiratejadeburn shaman faster, harder hitting and more consistent.
we can try and give these frauds the benefit of the doubt, and just assume they are a bunch of bumbling clueless fools, but doesn't it seem curious that their alleged incompetence always seems to end up with them making some decision that hurts f2ps in order to save the game from itself?

I'm glad they think about restructuring the win rewards, they really feel underwhelming ... especially when you see how other CCGs handle it.
Sad that tournament mode was cancelled but I guess that was expected considering we hadn't heard about it for quite a while.

drunk? no. stoned? hell yeah.

rotation comes 2 months earlier than expected Kappa

One of the very few rng-brawls I actually like.

I like that Blizzard decided to balance cards more often. Changes the meta a bit between set releases. Regular balance changes at the end of each month would be great imo.
btw: is Hunter's Mark the first HS card that was nerfed twice?

Leeching is a good nerf for Kingsbane, Saronite a good nerf for Shudderwock. Wild Growth will probably be unplayable and I'm not sure if it needed a nerf. Nourish nerf is alright. Level Up nerf is good as well, I wonder if people will come up with good Level Up decks for Even Paladin. It'll still be playable, especially in Wild.
