Sorry, but you're super wrong!. Late game, especially with magister, you can play coldarra on 10 mana and ping for anywhere between 10-14 damage with your leftover 4 mana. If it survives your damage output is absolutely insane. It is a MUST clear against most decks even if played straight on turn 6 with even just 1 wildfire. You severly underestimate the damage this card can do. Let alone the fact that hero powers cant be countered by secrets or taunt, etc. Its a very good win condition. And also, played over 100 games with it and its working very well in diamond/legend Ranked.
Sad to hear you're having trouble with it, I would recommend trying to get a better feel for the deck if you can. I'm still running at a 60-61% WR in Legend and Climbing to Legend.
Nah, I've tried running runed orb multiple times, but it has never felt good enough to slot. Especially since it can take the overflow/devolving slot with magister
Let me know how the changes work for you! I found grey sage sitting in the hand a lot when I had him in before since we only run 3 spells he can proc off of.
You wait to pop Lorekeeper until youre ready to go down the top of your deck. This deck doesn't need to fish for Mordresh that hard anyways. With your draw and refill you will get the cards you need before throwing out Lorekeeper and getting that value. If Taelen works for you thats great, but if you draw mordresh Taelen is worthless. I prefer being able to garuntee Magister and Mordresh late with the Keeper. Faceless is good against a lot of decks, you dont even need to grab something amazing. You just use it as a tempo boom, and devolve or control out whatever you copy. Give it a try, Im sitting at at ~60% WR in legend, seems to be working well.
Thanks! Quest is really hard, even if you control the board and win in tempo, they will just out value and damage you unless they super low roll :/. Op deck op
Taelan works if you dont want to craft lorekeeper, but the reason its so damn good in this deck is that it garuntees your next 3 draws as Mordresh, Mask, Magister. Which if you havent drawn them yet will just absolutely flatten most other decks at that point!
Honestly Multi only drawing two is fine, and you can get frost off of discover or wand, and you get that third proc off mask too. too many of the frost spells just float and dont do too much for you, so better to just not run. Also keeping light on spells for starscryer pulls.
100% Craft Magister and Mordresh. Varden is a tool we use to stall for a turn when lacking in tempo or on the backfoot. Or to set up a perfect Mordresh board etc. It'll be tough to replace it, but is doable and you won't lose a ton of deck strength. If you have these legendaries I would recommend using any of them to replace: Sphere of Sapience isn't terrible, Ivus is a good filler, Jandice isn't bad, Flightmaster/Mankirk if you're desperate, Korrak isn't terrible, Maiev may be an okay slot, Shadow Hunter Vol'jin could be fun as well if youre facing a lot of OTK. If you need a non-legendary I would honestly throw in another Rustrot Viper and that would be more than fine.
They are there mostly to punish Priest/Pally Matchups! I tend to save it for their massive single minion board stacks, or just on a really good minion before I slap an evolving missile down. It tends to utterly destroy in those matchups, especially against Libram/Buff Pally. On my last game to legend I hit a Priest's 9/9 taunt and devolved it to a 2/2 lol.
Really like the idea here! I feel like Magister Dawngrasp is super weak here though. I actually ended up replacing him with Malygos for that late game refill/c'thun spam. Like the concept a lot and Ice Revenant can pop off!

Yeah! I sit around a 55-58% wr in Legend. Just a fun deck to play though :). You gotta tek it to the meta youre mostly facing in the end.

Replaced Runed orb with Starscryer as well. Deck feels a lot faster and I even beat an owl otk before he could pop off. Fun deck.
