 There is no replacement, but there is a way for F2P players. If you can reach 8th rank with one of your pawns, you can promote it to bishop.

I know its not optimal, but you shouldnt disenchant anything if you are a F2P player. And dont craft anything in golden, its a feature for the P2W whales.

 My opponents always get Queen from pawn on 8th, obviously rigged?

And when they will fix that spaghetti code 'en passant'?

I think golden and non-golden versions count as different cards, so the situation you described is possible. Also, you can open nerfed cards and disenchant them for full refund (if applicable), IF you didn't DE them already earlier. 

I am not sure on all of this and I am too lazy to Google it :(

So the way I see it, it is simple - deal with it, or play some other game that suits you more...

Damn, I see Glide still oppresses the ladder. They should nerf this card already, before it completely destroys the game.
