I honestly think we have to see what the future expansions hold out for us. It could just be that it appears to be underpowered as we know Hearthstone today, but we have a huge rotation with future sets to look forward to. I think the Even/Odd decks are a gimmick, but everything else seems to like it could be good... if there is support for it in future sets.
Witchwood to me almost looks like it was designed for wild more than standard. So many of the new cards will be insane in Wild.
This is a type of card that any buff spell placed on it will feel really good. Having a minion that takes out a target that could trade into another minion feels really good. However, it is also a card that if it gets silenced before it can go off, feels awful. As a 3 mana 1/1 (when silenced) do nothing but be a target to set up future turns. You still lose a significant amount of tempo. 23.42% loss to be exact.
turn 5 you have two cheap shots and a 5/7? or realistically you would have a 5/4 - 5/3 left over. Seems like it could be good. But where does it fit in, if it does see play?
I am going to join the haters here and say this is just a throwaway legendary. giving your opponent the ability to play the biggest thing in their hand for free could just lose you the game outright.
maybe it gets played? with low-cost minions you can get some "value"... if shaman spells were okay this would be great. Since there are shaman spells that care only about totems.... it will give you dead cards.

its a classic set card, those are safe to craft. they will "always" be around. if it rotates to HOF you get the refund anyways

and cubelock is what exactly?

why nerf something that is going to consistently lose to cubelock anyways?

I really wish they would start making good warlock cards. Its been too long since warlock was a playable class...
Said no one ever.

It being at random really hurts the card. Not sure if it will find a home or not, something tells me no.

Tavern is supposed to be fun and casual. I just introduced 3 people into the gam, this will leave a terrible impression on them. =/
