At the specific point when the bgh kills something he gained tempo. If you want to remove it you are probably spending another card + some mana or a creature. For the 3 mana he spent, that trade was in HIS favor despite him gaining the board advantage (assuming you have nothing).
Your logic is a bit strange here because you could then say on his NEXT turn he then removes what you just played and then he can play something so is that not in his favor? and so on and so on until someone wins (basically describing the basic goal of hearthstone)
What he means is that because of the fireguard on steroid, the opponent is forced to play bgh aka counter the threat and not put his own threat like piloted shreder or some shit. He also doesn't play on curve since it's the 4th turn and BGH is 3 mana. So although playing BGH is a tempo gain, it's still a forced play instead of an optimal play on curve. Also it's used on a 4 mana minion, which is a smaller gain than using it on a 7-8 drops.
From my experience, huntard is a bad match-up. I reached legend with midrange shaman, and I had about 39% winrate against hunt. demo and shaman were 50/50 for me, and all the rest were favorable match-ups, especially warrior (7 games, 7 wins) and druid.
Beautiful azure dragon tears are flowing on my cheeks ;,)
Azure drake is far better than this. It draws you a card which is simply superior, it replaces itself. Although, in the right deck (a dragon themed deck), may just worth playing it over the drake.
I was referring to another comment. I love azur drake too! I edited my post.
Another control card, YES PLZ! Now we only need some cool new mid game dragons and the dragon deck will be awesome.
There's already Dragonkin Sorc, Azure Drake, Hungry Dragon, Twilight Drake for midgame. Azure Drake specifically being one of the best cards around right now. Already amazing without being a dragon... and now it matters that it is. It's beautiful.
Beautiful azure dragon tears of joy are flowing down on my cheeks ;,)
But then there are some rare case where you don't want to attack nor use the ability. Like if the ability is to draw a card and you're approching a fatigue war, and in front there's a big taunt minion to which you don't want to sacrifice your card on.
Just hit legend for the first time with midrange shaman! Check out my deck if you want to know more. I posted my winrate statistcs.
I think for the last star it was lose/win/lose/win/lose/win/win.
So much pressure but in the end I beat a low rank legend hunter and made it through! :D
To get legend, the most important is to have one single good deck, stay with it and be emotionnaly stable. If you're angry or tired, just stop playing, go watch a show, take some time with your girlfriend; just do something to feel relaxed and rested. Also play slowly, don't make quick decisions, because every win is important. I stole some wins a few times from delicate situation (ennemy hunter still at 21hp and me 4 hp left, or early 3rd turn coin to shreder that with my taunts carried enough damage to facerace facehunter and win).
What do you mean by the forum links? I want to upload a screenshot but when I use the insert image function it doesn't work, like the image can't be read. I'm not really sure to understand this url thing. I tried to upload the image on a random website but it didn't work.
I think it's the meta that changes, and makes your deck much less viable. I play midrange shaman and the day before yesterday, I went on a quite easy win streak going rank 5 to rank 3 and 4 stars, but yesterday evening I played 6 facehunters in a row and lost all of the matches, despite trying to tech against them. Now I'm down to rank 4 again.
Wild pyromancer (but it has anti-synergy with muster for battle and hero power so you need to build your deck around. It's a full clean board with equality).
You can replace Alakir with Ragnaros which also has an instant effect on the board, though more random and without synergies with flametongue totem and rockbitter weapon.
For Neptulon, try sylvanas or some drawing mechanics card (you can even try Ysera).
If you own none of those legendaries, just try to put cards with an equivalent mana cost.
Ok, thanks for the answer! Also, how much time did you play to get legend/rank 1? I feel the games with midrange shaman are quite long and i'm currently stuck around rank 3 (normal ranks), going back and forth with the win loss.

What's your battle.net tag? I'd like to see play some games if you don't mind :)

No, you need 2 free mana drop to activate the card, that's why it's not very good.

I always fear that having too many 4 drops with feral spirit will mess up your curve. What is your experience regarding this problem?
