I personally believe this is a problem of affluence and geography. Yes, it's a free game, but how many of the players at Blizzcon have been f2p? How many can afford the time to play the hours needed? How many can travel to events? Add that to the fact that Asia doesn't have that many black people as a percentage of the population and that Africa isn't represented at all. Not that many black people live in an area where they can qualify, are in large numbers, and have the affluence to be a dedicated gamer compared to their peers. Without some kind of affirmative action or opening up in Africa (of which there are challenges), I don't see this changing much. They could have, however, gotten TerrenceM to be a caster. 

A bigger question to which there isn't such a nice answer is why there are so few female players and casters. The answer is Sexism in the community and culture. Period. It's a huge problem. Cora is pretty cool, and I know that more women work on Hearthstone, and surely many women play hearthstone, but the competitive community is built on Twitch and Youtube. Good luck in that environment. All the more credit to Hafu and Eloise. Too many 14 year old (and 24 year old) boys ruin it for half the population.  They need a good bopping. 

No one going to mention the horrible misplay that last game, playing freezing trap into burglar, then he just played burglar into snipe, aw man I cringed at the misplay

CW is funny, I laugh in aggro's face as I tank up and gain 15 armor in one turn, then just brawl their whole board away. But that's not why I play it. I love the long control v control fatigue games with elise.

All 3 of my decks are OTK, they're my favorite deck to play, they require thought and planning ahead,  so on the opposite side of the table here, I think control warriors gaining 50 armor a game is scummy, but you think my OTK priest is scummy, so it's just a matter of opinion, 

They should release two new classes all with classic cards, plus new ones from the expansion, why not? It would bring a lot. More to the table,

Turns out 3 4/6 taunts against priest is pruuuuutty good

Dragon priest is still really strong, you just have to revise your deck a bit.
