Counters should work more like say explosive runes, it nullifies some aspects but not all.

I played it the other day for a while.  Got run over by aggro decks before I could get out the recruits (recruiting doesn't really start happening until turn 6 (5 with coin) through turn 8+).  I also kept getting matched quite frequently against Control warriors (non quest) and they kept having answers to clear all the big minions.  So I myself didn't have very good luck with it.  I think it's really only a T3 deck as it stands right now.

literally is teir one at the moment. third highest winrate of decks.

I am not bent on disagreeing with everyone.  I am bent on sticking to my own opinion, which I fully believe in.  I have nothing against any other players, regardless of your financial investment or lack thereof, so we can just stop this line of thinking right here.

Glad you've admitted to being thick headed.

posted a message on Pity timers need to change

If you consider each expansion as worth the price of a say a AAA console game with 2 dlc than within reason you should be able to get every card in a set by spending $100. Given gold however, many of those packs could be free so tacking on a 30% increase is reasonable. Hearthstone has about a 1% chance of legendary per pack. Each expansion has about 23 legendaries. Without complex math that gives a value of $3500-$4000, which is way over fair. However, currently you get at least one free, and one within 10 packs. Then 1 within 40 packs which messes with the odds a bit. The chance you dont get a legend in the 40 after the first ten is 60%.  You got 60 packs with the preorder. 13 legends will be from pity timer. The remaining 8 will be gained via luck with the average being 20 packs per.

So 1 legend is free, $50 gets you 2, with 10 packs left over. Calculate the rest, equals a Maximum estimate of $850 would have to spend to guarantee a full set just from opening packs. but dust isnt calculated for, the average pack yeilding around 100. so after x amount of packs would have collected all but the few legends left at which point the odds become 1 out of 16 gets an additional legend.

No matter my musing hearthstone is ripping people off.

1 - skip animations, have there effect occur instantly. show order in the history sidebar

2 - No. the combo isnt the problem. If it becomes a problem this would be the best way to kill it. "Battlecry: summon another saronite chain gang. It gains all effects on this card."

3 - If the deck end up more refined with a high win rate, then i'd approve. Forces needing fireplume to complete to combo. hence harder to pull off

4 - Shudderwock existing means future design choices are limited. the current combo isnt broken, but in the future it may be. Upon such happening then we should revisit nerfing him.

Good competitive/ fun card games work that way. A rock paper scissors method of who wins and who loses. Aggro beats Combo which beats Control which beats Aggro. Simple concept.

posted a message on Grumble is the problem

there is absolutely no problem with any of those cards. the cards and there effects are not the problem, the combo is slow therefore not breaking the meta like rogue quest did.

The biggest issue is that blizzard has a raging hard on for 5 second reveal animation on battlecries. Shudderwock should instantly cast the effects then show the order in the sidebar like normal.

posted a message on Shudderwock OTK *FULLY EXPLAINED*

lets count the actual damage in steps, assuming only one lifedrinker was played.

1.) 1 cost murmuring elemental, 0 damage thus far

2.) first 1 cost shudderbabywocky, battlecry triggers twice.

now its important to figure out if the battlecry counts all past battlecries when card is cast, or when effect occurs. if it is when effect occurs then this first shudderwock goes infinite on its own. the second battlecry would see the first and trigger it which would then see the first again and trigger it endlessly.

hell even playing two shudderwocks in any match would go infinite. if shudderwock's battlecry counts as a battlecry for the next shudderwock then it gains infinite "Battlecry: Repeat all Battlecries from cards you played this game".

forget this comments original goal, shudderwock needs amended to say "Battlecry: Repeat all Battlecries from other* cards you played this game"

Combo counters control, control counters aggro, aggro counters combo. This is how it should be.

If you dont like this then spec against it. Make your deck faster, play dirty rats, mill effects.

Tested Rummaging Kobold. You get back a vanilla weapon, no matter what enchantments it had.

Yeah, me too. I was so disappointed
