I've played HS at realease up to BRM just for the fun and was playing MTG a bit more seriously. Since i've started university i stop playing MTG as competively, but since witchwood release (the new expansion looked sick), i got the itch to play a card game a bit more seriously and i tought that HS would be a good game for that. The only problem i'm so far out of the meta, because of the rotation and i didn't really follow the competitive scene i don't know where to start, which pack to buy. I know the meta is changing actually because of last patch, but i wanted some insight on which pack would be best to invest in to get some value out of my money and be able to make some decent competitive decks. Thx for the help.
You can start off by buying 10 packs of each expansion to get the guaranteed legendaries and maybe try to build a deck around those. The new legendaries Baku and Genn are also great crafts because there are a lot of good decks right now revolving around them.
I have to say it though, if you're looking for the top tier decks, maybe you should just wait a little bit before crafting cards because of the nerfs that just happened and the meta not being settled yet.
