So from playing this deck (and some other decks) a bit, this is what I find works well:
Freeze mage just farms them. Midrange druid (keep in mind once you Thaurissan a hand, they will have to play shitty to avoid 22 damage combo). Control warrior seems 50/50, if you outvalue them with minions and make them use removal inefficiently (i.e. Lightbomb on single legendary, bad Entombs, etc.) you can win. Midrange paladin (don't play Tirion unless you just want the tempo from them using Entomb, instead just rely on constantly making dudes and playing sticky minions around Wild Pyro, they will run out of AoE's for them).
Of course you could always try to face them down. Face shaman, secret paladin are best at this. Face hunter favors the priest pretty hard, but you can still of course win if you face fast enough.
I don't think this deck is going to be all roses and sunshine, I mean it will have some really tough counters. I farmed this deck all day long yesterday with several Reno versions. Basically just dropping jaxx aggressively and early is gg
Any Handlock/RenoLock variation, or even just your standard "hyper-face" deck can all counter Priest. Hence my post a few pages back, I think the card/deck is good but don't foresee that much justified rage just because the class wasn't so strong to begin with.
The card's effect will probably be more along the lines of helping it even the field than pushing it ahead of the pack. So far Meta analyses posted by both main sites seem to support that!
Not quite true. Mind Control is still better in some ways. 10 mana for a Ysera or Rag, and you have immediate value. Compare this to paying 6 to entomb and then recast...Ysera costs 15 mana, Rag 14.
That is true, but it can be a stronger tempo advantage if you can play another answer the same turn (where Mind Control gives you no turn). I can see MC stronger on Rag overall, but I think what he meant is that it will obsolete MC out of decks - you wouldn't play MC in a deck just because it's better than Entomb on a single minion which is rarely even played that much anymore.
I wonder when the first "Nerf Entomb" threads will appear. hihi. Maybe they already did.
I don't think it will really be that cried out largely because Priest was not that strong of a class to begin with (so even a strong card may not be unbalanced) and because the class it counters best, Paladin, is probably the most hated class by this community in this meta right now, so sympathy for them is likely quite low.
