You have Lich King and Crystalsmith Kangor right? You'll need those for the deck.
Yeah I have everything except Glass Knight and Tarim and like an epic or two. Also dont have valanyr but im not sure how essential it is. I do have Tirion and some lists seem to run him.
I love playing Even Paladin and I recommend it. You don't need Val'anyr. Glass Knight will survive rotation although the deck will look different for sure. I play Mojomaster Zihi in mine so I would craft it. Tarim is a great card too especially if you don't mind it rotating out. It can beat just about anything and it's a blast. What ever you do, don't make Kingsbane Rogue. It's cancer. Stay away lol.
Hmm, I already have Zihi and not having to craft valanyr would be nice. Would only need two legends for it in that case. Decisions, decisions.
I do like the even decks in general like shaman and warlock.
Thanks for the responses. Seems pretty unanimous for kingsbane rogue and that's kind of what i'm leaning towards. Anyone really liking even paladin in this meta though?
I wouldn't put such a huge chunk of dust into a single deck, especially when it's about to leave Standard in four months. Why would you want to devote yourself to playing mainly that specific type of deck? I get that you like to play counters (e.g. your Shudderwock) to Control so what about e.g. Mecha'thun Druid? Yeah, it's going to lose a bunch of good cards as well but it's quite affordable and can easily be mistaken for other Druid archetypes. Also, given that you don't play Wild I think it would be wise to spend the dust on cards which see play for some time. Considering that you play mostly Shaman, Priest and Hunter - do you already own Subject 9? It will be playable even post-rotation, since Secret Hunter is an evergreen and, being a neutral it's quite unique. Just a suggestion, since I don't know about your classic and other classes collection.
I have mechathun druid and subject 9 hunter. Both cool decks.
My collection from from the expansions this year is pretty good. I have nearly every legendary from boomsday and everything good from WW.
I either sit on this dust for 4 months, which sounds super boring, or i craft some cards from last year. Rumble is the only thing I dont have a ton of legendaries from but I got a lot of the ones I wanted from packs and i'm still opening packs from Rumble.
Appreciate the responses so far, but as I said, i don't care about the rotation. I just started playing before WW and i bought bundles for the last three expansions and put most of my gold towards them so my collection is pretty strong for those. I want something new to play now and every deck right now has cards from last years soon to rotate sets.
I'm leaning towards kingsbane but i'm just curious how some people whove laddered with it feel about it.
So I have a good chunk of dust from Rumble left over and i'm having trouble deciding how to spend it. I'm thinking of 3 different options
Kingsbane rogue. The deck always interested me but it didn't seem quite good enough for me to craft all the things for it. It seems so much better now so this is the last chance to pull the trigger on it. I generally like anti control decks and i played a few games with the borrow decks feature and it feels fun. I don't play wild because i only have standard cards but I was thinking about starting to play wild after rotation since i have a good standard collection and i know kingsbane is good there. My only concern is the meta might shape in a way that phases it out, but of course there is no way to know this for sure. Opinions on how good this deck is in standard right now? is the polarized nature a problem
The cards i need for it are DK Valeera, Greenskin, Kingsbane, and an epic or two.
Even Paladin. This is a deck i've considered crafting several times but always choose something else. It seems like a fun deck. Pretty straightforward and tempo based. Was performing really well competitively before Rumble came out, not sure how it's place in the meta has changed. I haven't played it so not a lot to say about it.
The cards I need are Glass Knight, Tarim, Val'anyr(seems to be optional but optimal) and an epic or two.
Several misc legendaries. The third option is perhaps the most sensible, but the least sexy. Just filling some blank spots to strengthen my collection already. I'd probably craft Taldaram for cubelock, Oondasta for DR hunter, and Zentimo/Loti for general shaman/druid stuff. I don't actually play a lot of DR hunter or cubelock but I do like the decks and maybe I'd play more cubelock if I had Taldaram. I have this thing where I just won't play netdecks unless I have the best version.
All in all i'm mostly happy with my shaman, priest, hunter collection so I was wanting to play some new classes. I don't really care about rotation in a few months, 3 seasons is a good chunk of time and worth the investment if i like the deck. I'm mostly interested in having a fun time climbing to legend this month. I have a lot of meta decks but the only one i really *love* is shudderwock shaman but I was looking for something a touch stronger.
TLDR; looking for some anecdotal and opinions on the options in terms of competitiveness and fun.
