What do you expect? In the Tavern Brawl people want to get as many decks as possible, why would they choose an experimental deck that might not work?
Same goes for ladder, be it standard or wild. If you are at rank 6 or rank 2 or anywhere close to the next rank floor, would you risk dropping 10 stars or would you play with a proven successful deck to get you to the next floor?
I feel there is quite some experimentation at the rank floors and in casual, just not in the competitve ranks. On the upside though, if you like to experiment yourself, you can just go to those formats and test your decks against a competition that you can expect to face for the next few weeks anyway. And if your deck doesn't perform against those you know that you have to improve it.
That is always how it works. I really wonder why people want to play new homebrew decks and expect to win against players who play to climb.
On the upside, because there are so many hunters right now, it will not be long before the next meta deck will show up which feasts on those. And maybe you will be the one who discovers it during your experimentation. Just might take a few more losses.
Very good description on the state of things and for sure that logic makes sense so i can'tbe mad about it. But wait...So...why are ppl also playing Spell Hunter in casual aswell? There's no reason for it is there?
I don't have the cards needed for spell hunter but i think other people who have and play the deck enjoy and it sort of is a new deck.
Its a deck ftom K&C exp and Zuljin is the only new card. They dont even need to plsy zuljin most if the time. That deck is vrry refined and curve consistent that preys on less refined and new decks. Until the meta is discovered spell hunter will reign supreme.
I did tried Beast druid which seemed fun. Played a lot of different decks so i cant really have an opinion yet and not many time too. Faced spell hunters about 20 times. Im around 45% wr which isnt bad considering im running homebrew decks but just the sheet frequency of facing the same class is making my RR experience boring.
Sad cause its one of my fav exps but getting bored of it ONLY cause im mostly facing the same deck.
So since the release of RR i was expecting the good ol tradition of ppl experimenting new decks like they used to. Except i played Ranked Standard Tavern Brawl Casual Standard and Ranked Wild. 75% of my opponents were Hunters and always the new op spell hunter.
Is there a reason for it or are HS players just close minded? Im running Chief Inspector in every deck now. Thats sas but i guess im just gonna start running a deck that wins against Spell Hunter. Cant have fun experimenting cause nobody else is.
Damn son. Savagery over 9000
Honestly i just hope that the best decks vs spell hunter arent aggro or its gonna be zoolock odd pally odd rogue all over again
