So, ever since it was announced a few hours ago that when you recruit a new friend to Hearthstone you'll get a Murloc Hero everyone seems to have jumped on the "please refer me bandwagon" (including me) and posted their links onto a thread which will likely be not read by anyone. I mean, there's 24+ pages. Jeez.
But here's what I want to know. When you refer someone to a game, doesn't that person have to have a new account for it to qualify? Or at the very least, wouldn't it need to pass that "Level 20" requirement AFTER being referred? I mean, it makes no sense if already existing players are sending invites to themselves and in the end, no new player is invited to the game.
Can anyone confirm that they've gotten to new Murloc hero by simply sending out their link to a member and having them click on it? Or does it seem like we're up for a Lady Liadrin-ish grind here with everyone creating second accounts for themselves?
So, 5:30 in the morning, but I finally did it. AHHHHH....
