Also I've got to say that the example card you made is really strange. "Odd" results in it becoming a really good card - basically Shielded Minibot - that can potentially trade very efficiently while "Even" makes it a vanilla 3/2 without any benefit whatsoever.
yeah that was just a quick draft of a card as an example, didnt want to make it too OP, just introduce the mechanic :)
This remind's me of the old Frostwolf Warlord and how stupidly complicated board states became because of it. I mean, how the hell does this even interact with boardwipes?

What do u mean that board states become complicated cause of Frostwolf Warlord?
To answer your question about boardwipes ... that is an interesting point, i would probably see it like this: use AOE > any minions left after AOE used = new odd/even number of minions. Now there could seem be some issues with abilities that would give Health in one stance or the other and by killing some number of minions, stance would change and the minion would get bonus Health and would seem to survive AOE, but i guess from programmer perspective it should be possible to just result AOE dmg first, then destroy any minions that would not survive it and then switch abilities to minions who r still alive. I hope it is not too confusing :D
Odd/even in general is a good idea. But I'm not sure about linking it to the number of minions out there. Number of cards maybe? I don't know . . .
Hm it could be also interesting if it was linked to number of opponent cards mby?:) That way we wouldnt have to consider problems with (not)including the card played if it was linked to your hand. That could create some interesting scenarios, if some cards were to become "staple" and opponent would try to keep odd/even number of cards in his hand in order to not let u get the ability u want from that minion/spell/etc.

The +1/+1 was a constant effect. It wasn't a battlecry like it is now. If you had 2 minions and frostwolf warlord, it would be a 6/6, but if the opponent killed one of the other two minions, the warlord would become a 5/5, etc.

I see, didnt know that :) Kinda similar mechanic to Lightspawn. Was it considered too weak or too powerful, that it was changed to battlecry?
I like the idea, perhaps the odd even mechanic could work with how much mana u have instead. Idk though since then after turn ten it's always gonna be even.

Well exactly, that would make it kinda irrelevant after T10 and thus in general i think :F
Hi, yesterday i got an idea about new card mechanic. There were some cool already like Focus etc.
Odd: active when number of minions on the battlefield is odd. (count both sides together)
Even: active when number of minions on the battlefield is even. (count both sides together)
example:
So what do u think ?:)

I like it as idea. And i think hearthstone really needs new mechanics.

For the exact reason I mentioned: it had really unintuitive interactions with board wipes and just overcomplicated boardstates.
