Silence, Charge (direct damage spells), taunt monsters in that particular order.
Silence - prevent both charge and taunt. Charge - to deal direct damage if there is no taunters. Taunters - to protect yourself. Other card choices are situational. IMHO
How can you prevent charge exactly?
I am guessing he meant the warrior minion that gives other minions charge? Otherwise I am as confused as you are.
I'm suprised nobody mentioned Twilight drake or azure drake.
Some of the cards ppls mentioned are great too, I would rate the Owl as my first pick with any draft, but I dont rate taunt creatures that high or it depends on the class your playing.

Argent Commander is also one of my favo
Some no one has mentioned yet, that are very solid picks in any deck:
Shattered Sun Cleric
Faerie Dragon
Sen'jin Shieldmasta
Azure Drake (even you don't need spell power, drawing card is very useful)
Ironbeak Owl or Spellbreaker
Argent Commander
Defender of Argus
Knife Juggler
Pint-Sized Summoner
Sunwalker
Acolyte of Pain
Dark Iron Dwarf
Harvest Golem
Frost Elemental
Questing Adventurer
Raging Worgen
I think these neutral minions are useful in most of the decks.
I would say adventurer, it's cheap and will work in pretty much any deck since its buff comes from any card, not just spells or minions.
The Coin. :)
Really though, Amani Berserker, silences, ooze and any weapons.
