Sounds interesting, sadly I cannot stream because of really slow connection. Recording and uploading is no alternative I guess? Also, the Link at the end does not work (targets hearthpwn).
Fixed the link :)
Whole tournament is going to be streamed on twitch.tv + commentary. As long as your opponents would be able to stream you'd have no trouble. But we expect everyone to help us for a better coverage though, so stream unless it is truly impossible for you.
Is it okay if you cant stream but can just record the game? My internet upload speed is damn slow.
As long as your opponent is streaming you would be fine and we are encouraging everyone to do so. If someone can't really stream we would make an exception but not as a general rule.
I wish this was on Feburary 14th so we have something to do with our crippling loneliness.
You can practice on 14th ;)
Yet it is in this loneliness that the deepest activities begin. It is here that you discover act without motion, labor that is profound repose, vision in obscurity, and, beyond all desire, a fulfillment whose limits extend to infinity. - Thomas Merton
Obs is not as compatible as people think as it throws a hissy fit with many cards and integrated. And rather then fixing these flaws they tell people buy a new card. Then again you get what you pay for. Cool idea.
Famous Kripparrian is going to help us with the commentary so don't forget to tune into twitch.tv/ExilicTGN to watch the games and have a chance at our Razer giveaways.
A couple of notable players are also participating in this tournament: Kungen will play on NA and Sco (Method's GM) will challenge players on EU realm.
sorry to bother you again , but if we have to stream , how would the tournament organizers prevent sniping
No bother at all :)
You don't need to stream all the time, only the games we are broadcasting. You will stream to us directly and not public, then we will stream your game on twitch.tv with sufficient delay to prevent any kind of sniping.

Streaming without sound is fine.

Streaming using Xsplit ok? If so I'll be there.
It is. But using OBS (which is a completely free software and extremely easy to use) would make our lives a bit easier.

Why is OBS important? It tends to bog down and work very horribly compared to Xsplit, I stream a lot and often... I'm just wondering the reasoning.
You can use Xsplit of course. But Xsplit free version doesn't have 'delay' feature which is rather necessary to avoid ghost cheating.

If we are broadcasting to Twitch then there is about a minute on the feed anyway from what I can tell. And I have the upgraded version of Xsplit.
Also, you might want to look into the fact that you are holding this the same day as the ESL Razer Tournament.
Streaming will probably be an issue for me, however I will try to stream, but I can't guarantee it will be very good at all.
I play in the NA server , but live in australia , can i still join and receive prizes
Yes absolutely.
