I think this is a card that is easy to judge: it will see zero play.
Like really. You only have 30 slots in a deck. Why whould you ever cut something good for random 4 damage to the face which will never even work because you are unlucky and will discard mal'ghanis anyway
Damn, that's cool. Soulfire, Succubus, and Doomguard all discard cards, and the soulfire and doomguard are used for burst purposes. If the hand is perfect, there could really be lots of burst. However, I do see a use for Succubus since playing her midgame and dealing 4 damage to a random enemy could be a clutch tempo swing play. Of course, that would mean your hand needs to be empty by midgame, but Life Tap could possibly help warlock recover.
Bad cost for it's effect, but I like that there's some love out there to make the "discard a card for better card stats" Warlock cards out there. Maybe it'll see play down the line if it becomes a better theme.
That art is Archimonde, not Jaraxxus. But hey, considering Jaraxxus's weapon has a picture of some random eredar warlock from the WoW TCG (and that in WoW, he uses a staff, not his bare hands), it's not like they seem to care to make anything accurate about him.
Funny that they are trying to make random discarding not so painful instead of doing what they should've always done and let us chose the discard... You just know that 8 times out of 10, if you have soulfire and this card in your hand and there are a couple other cards in your hand, that the others will be discarded. And if you have two soulfires or two doomguards in your hand, they will still always discard the other soulfire/doomguard. I just hope that this card doesn't mean that they are going to add more random discard crap...
And yeah... considering that this thing is essentially the same as flame cannon but with the option to hit face, it should be at most 3 mana.
I don't know, if you ran this in a low curve zoo deck that runs doomguards and soulfires there's actually a decent chance of this procing. by like turn 7 in zoo youre out of cards and play your doomguard on an empty hand so it discards nothing. I could honestly see this working. Not amazingly well but amusingly well.
But Zoolock already has better ways of producing 4 damage than relying on discard RNG.
It is a bit awkward isn't it. I like the idea of getting basically 4 mana free damage, but the RNG effect on (not just on the discard but also on where the damage is going) makes it perhaps a bit unreliable, perhaps too much so.
Yeah, the double-dip RNG of this card makes it seem way too unreliable to me. And it's not even 4 mana worth of damage, really, which is also part of the problem. I mean, look at Darkbomb, 2 mana for 3 damage, and it's targeted. If it were really 4 mana worth of damage (let's say 6 damage to stay consistent with Dark Bomb valuation) on the discard, maybe it would be more attractive. Just seems to me Locks already have better, more efficient, and more reliable ways to achieve the same overall effect.
All i have to say is the Felsteed epic card and the rest of the Lock cards better be awesome because man have the locks been getting shit on with crash cards.
I think this will be amazing in Demonzoo and/or Malylock... Dunno why people are so worried about the cost. So many situations where i have a Doomguard + 1 card.. this is the perfect one to be holding.
Too situational, should cost at most three as you're almost never going to discard this
This is why you everyone should design your own decks - the obvious power of this card would become apparent if you had the practice of designing decks.
Here you go. I must admit i worded it a bit wrong. it's not a traditional discard mechanic. In a way, you are not discarding the cards, but the Fel reaver is. :)
Ow. I kinda wanted it to work.
Sad panda.

"Infinite" doen't mean "big" - it can be small and have no end.
4/3 is easy to kill... that's why succubus is not used.
No that's not why. It's because it makes you discard a card...
No, it's because cost is not worth the reward. If Succubus was better, you could stand discarding a card (Doomguard), but 2-drop killable by other 2-drops, both spells and minions, most of the time is not worth any drawback. What may be the case here as well.
Well the cost is subjective. MAYBE one day there will be some sort of Discard-Warlock deck that actually has synergy with Succubus, then it will be played more often and the reward would actually be worth it. However, the only competitive Warlock decks right now are Handlock and Zoo and neither of them would want to discard any cards, which is why she isn't played.
It's really funny how many people base their decisions on this being bad by saying "You'll always get unlucky and not discard it or when you do, it will hit the wrong target."
you would need 100% rng to discard this card and then to actually hit the target you want. id rather just play soul fire dark bomb is already better than this card. the 1 extra damage and discard mechanic does't justify 4 mana. the only reason its 4 mana is because shadow bolt exist.
But seriously not too god but good with doomguard, soulfire could be insane 8 damage for 1 mana but very tricky to pull off... Probably won't see much play

Dark World Warlock, lol. Honestly... having played card games throughout my life, it will be hard to see blizz find a completely revolutionary mechanic that'll wow me.

I am personally not saying it's bad, I am saying it's inconsistent. Is it inconsistent enough to justify saying it's bad? I honestly don't know yet. If this card had some mechanic that gave it a higher to guaranteed chance of it getting it discarded with still keeping the random damage I would say this card was worth it's digital weight in digital gold. The good news is that it's never a dead card persay. 4 mana for 4 damage is expensive but never useless. So even if RNG punches you in the nuts you can always still cast it.

And Succubus! And Deathwing. Imagine the clutch lethal. Play Deathwing with this in hand and the enemy on 4 or less and it's guaranteed lethal.
Fel Reaver isn't a discard effect.

The only way this card can be good is in a empty board for a 13 damage nuke to face using Doomguard wich has a really low chance of happening.
No bueno.

Good with DoomGuard Succubus And Fel Reaver

I really like the idea but it does not seem good enough to hold in your hand till you discard it. Also Jaraxxus is blue now?
