For aggro and control decks respectively. Dranosh might seem very restricting, however drawing 2 cards for free is a big deal for aggro decks, which compensates for the restrictive deck building condition.

Commentary:
I always dreamed of making a card, which interacts with the contents of your hand. Since this gimmick sounds as something a rogue would do, I decided to implement those cards there. What I love about them is how they incourage both deck-building skills and in-game good decision-making from the players. Unlike Baku/Genn you can include both or either Ethereals in your deck, if you decide that the reward is worth it. I also like how your opponent also learns about the contents of your hand once the effect resolves.
Para as the older sister offers a very powerful effect in the form of value from your minions. Many people were afraid by her power in QR, but tbh that deck is a minion based one and in order to give Echo to the minions in your deck, then you have to keep dumping those from your hand. But this will drastically hinder you from completing your quest and that's why
Sonya Shadowdancer
is a more consistent card in that deck. Not to mention, that rogue has always been a squishy class and you can't always survive the moment, when you outvalue your opponent.
Dox can make unplayable spells playable (
WANTED!
). We have already seen this type of mechanic in Monster hunt (specifically by
Inquisitor Hav'nixx
with his HP
Devour Soul
). If you remember how he functioned - even numbers were divided easily, while odd ones were rounded up. This means that
Sprint
would cost 4 mana. The formula is: (X+1)/2= Y, where X is the initial cost and Y is the new one.
I really like dragons so I made a couple. One likes minions and has
combo
potential by protecting something specific, the other likes spells and has the option of giving classes that lack healing, like Rogue, a little boost in the late game.
It's not just one class. It's all 9 of them fused together. As such is represented by the effect. The Discovery is just like the tri-class
Discover
cards (
Grimestreet Informant
,
Kabal Courier
, and
Lotus Agents
). For example,
Amalgam of Heroes
will always give you one Legendary minion and one Legendary weapon regardless of class, as well as one fantastic Treasure from the
Master Chest
as choices.
In WoW, Kologarn is a giant golem boss whose arms can be attacked and destroyed, and then rebuilt during the encounter. While the art doesn't look like him ingame, I wanted to capture his encounter.
Summon
his arms, and get lots of value if you can keep his body alive. The game would be hard-coded so if he resummons an arm, it appears next to him on the board. And each time the arms attack, it looks like he's punching!
"I don't believe in it, anyway." "What?" "Azeroth." "Just a conspiracy of game developers, then?"
Fairly unimpressive on their own right; Rosencrantz can barely take down a River Crocolisk, and Guildenstern fares only so well against a Bloodfen Raptor. But, when the player's commandment is fulfill'd, that Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are dead...
...then, suddenly, you have an infinite train of 2.5 Mana minions. All the fun shenanigans of resurrecting
Feugen
and
Stalagg
, but much faster, and truly able to keep going in the game.
(We have no control over it all, but, if I had it my way, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern wouldn't be in packs. They'd be rewards for Adventures or Dungeon Runs or Monster Hunts or Start of Seasons/Expansion Launches).
I wanted to do an Alliance/Horde sort of duality with these, since there isnt really any faction acknowledgement in hearthstone besides audio and some names.
Following in the wing-steps(?) of Emeriss , Carrion Drake and Wing Blast ,these re-imaginings of the Classic Dragons Alexstrasza and Onyxia take flight as support for the new Dragon Hunter archetype! Gameplay-wise, they play off the also-new "if a minion died this turn" mechanic to create a bruiser deck; a combination of heavy Dragon minions, clearing spells and/or Poisonous help you win and keep the table. Come late-game, these Dragon Queens help you seal the deal: Alex seeks to avenge the Life of those that fell in battle and pushes her companions to fight on, while Onyxia calls for the fallen members of her dragonflight to rise again as servants in Death.
Behold, foolish interlopers! I am commanding this mortal to spread the will of the Scourge throughout the interwebs, encouraging you to seek out me, Archlich Kel'Thuzad! Now coming to you as the tenth class of Hearthstone!
I am a finalist in this Class Creation Competition, so if you could give it a look I would be greatly appreciative <3
Two powerful warlocks from Legion. Lulubelle damages you, and does something if she kills you, while Kira heals you, and does something if she brings you back to full health.
The two have an interesting synergy. Since
Lord Jaraxxus
only has a maximum health of 15, it's MUCH easier for Kira to heal him to full than your normal Warlock hero. One Mana
INFERNO!
Bring back the good'ol Jaraxxus madness!
I wanted to try to make specializations from wow into hearthstone cards. Shadow priests sacrifice self preservation for power, while holy priests reject any shadow magic for potent holy healing.
EDIT: Iskar is suposed to give your hero spell damage not gain it himself. My bad.
Two very opposite ends of the spectrum that could *technically* be run in the same deck, but... why would you? Bolvar is meant to bolster decks that rely on early game spells and massive minions; Not unlike the Big Priest archetype, with the added clause that you can't run both him and
Barnes
. Ner'zhul, alternatively, is essentially an Aggro legendary, and while I originally considered a different bar for cost, I decided that if it was at (4-5) that paladin would still have access to
Call to Arms
... That seemed janky.

Two mirrored cards that can synergize together or could work in decks like divine shield paladin or rush warrior separately.
Mirrored cards? Okay....
I want a new title, but Flux won't let me have one,
