Monster Hunt
- Works like Dungeon Run in that you play a hero against bosses and build a deck as you progress.
- Does not use normal Hearthstone heroes, this has four unique characters.
- The final boss at the end of Monster Hunt is different for each of the four classes.
Below are pictures of the Cannoneer, Houndmaster, Time Tinkerer, and Tracker heroes from Monster Hunt.
New Keyword: Echo
Echo cards can be played multiple times on the turn you play them. Each time, it’ll add a ghostly copy of the card back to your hand that disappears at the end of your turn.
New Keyword: Rush
Minions with the Rush keyword can attack other minions immediately after they hit the board, either by being played or summoned. They cannot attack heroes until the turn after they enter play, however.
Hagatha the Witch
The only new playable hero card being added to the game, Hagatha has unique emotes and a special passive Hero Power.

Card Backs
There are two new card backs. The first is available with the expansion pre-order and the second is a reward from Monster Hunt.
New Gameboard
As always, Hearthstone is getting a new game board with the expansion.
Azalina, these “swap your deck or copy your opponents deck,” I must say, are 💩
WSP
I noticed on the new gameboard they have a Cauldron with a pot of herbs and an elixir bottle. I think it's safe to say that this will be the New Shaman Hero power. Making Elixirs.
If that is the case I will craft the Hero card, and make a fun or comp deck for it.
MUSHROOM POWER!
So if I play Azalina Soulthief when I know my opponent has a buffed Kingsbane in their hand, do I get the buffed version or a copy of the original 1/3?
if it follows the current rules of copies, no it won't be buffed. the current rules say you are copying the base card not any buffs.
Examples of this already exist in current play as well. A Drakonid Operative "stealing" a copy of your opponent's Kingsbane gets a base 1/3.
When player steals cards from bosses by Gloves of Mugging, cards always keep their buffs and cost reduce. So, I guess, you get the buffed version.
steal not like copy , steal u get it with all puff, copy you just copy the card without any puff .
I was playing a match just now and the spellstone keep the buff when copied. Does the spellstone's cards change when buffed?
yes, spell stones become a new card when upgrade.
Personaly i like this game very much and i grow with it. As my friends try this, they have to learn all kinds of new terms as Taunt, Lifesteal and now Rush and Echo join the club. What is next to this game and is this game making it very difficult for newcommers to this game to get a grasp of it ?
I hope i still can introduse some of my friends and tell them that its easy to start up, but unfortunedly its not.
What are you complaining about? Every such key term is clearly explained in a text box when hovering over the card.
The best part is: you're using a MTG card as profile pic, which is a much more complex game. 2 new keywords won't make the game hard for begginers, c'mon.
SinnFull is not wrong at all, I agree! One of my friends started playing less than a year ago. He was having fun with the game and in that short time while he was still figuring out all the classes and how to play, Kobolds dropped and he didn't have time to evolve with the game as veteran players have. Basically had to re-learn how to play the game a bit. Now, soon as he is figuring things out again and getting some good cards, he saw Witchwood coming, said "F" this and deleted the game.
Not all players, play every day. I feel like the casual and new players are being snubbed out of this game. This is becoming a game for people who have been playing for years and or have invested money into it.
I love this game however, I do wish Hearthstone would allow more time in between expansions for players to enjoy the cards and game.
I'm so glad that some of those keywords aren't in hearthstone--imagine if they started printing Double Strike, First Strike, or protection from... minions in hearthstone. It would break the game.
That said, I would love to see an alternate attack option that mimics a minion tap introduced (e.g. printing a minion with Choose one: attack or skip your attack and restore 2 health to your hero)
Faerie dragon's ability isnt a protection, it's hexproof.
well, closer to shroud. (neither player can target it)
The year is 2017, Raza the Chained, Patches the Pirate, and Corridor Creeper dominate the battlefield. Is there any hope? *Down swings the nerf hammer* We are saved at last!! Then, suddenly a rustling in the distance....Voidlord and Call to Arms fly over the horizon. Pffft, I thought Raza priest was bad, I hate this meta too. Can't wait for some new decks.
Azalina Soulthief - most of the time just a sideboard against control decks, but pretty strong one. There is also great synergy with Vanish if your deck is faster and deals more damage at start of the game.
Baku the Mooneater and Genn Greymane obviously depend on the card pool size. None of these is going to be OP, but they will undoubtfully enable some new decks in Wild format. If you play one of them, you should plan to use your hero power as often as possible, so there should be a decent pool of cards to form a good synergy with that hero power.
Baku provides more powerful effect, but his own stats are weaker. I guess only Druid, Hunter, Warrior or Paladin would play Baku, since only their superpowers justify reducing the deckbuilding options. Druids gets twice as much armor and really decent Attack to try build a deck on this: there are Feral Rage, Claw and Savagery, plus Baku is a Beast, and Druids have some cards with Beast synergy. Aggro Hunter just enjoys inflicting 3 unblockable damage to the opponent every turn. Warrior's hero power becomes insane with cards like Reckless Flurry and Shield Slam, and Paladin's power spawns hordes of creatures.
Genn has better stats, and his effect is better for some heroes, especially Warlocks. Drawing a lot of cards for cheap is the best definition for "winning" :)
Phantom Militia looks like a weaker Saronite Chain Gang, though it can be stronger in some situations. If you're playing against an ultra-aggro deck, you may appreciate a blocker on turn 3. On turn 9 you may bless the topdecked Militia that gives you three blockers. But most of the time it's still weaker.
Militia Commander is awesome, especially versus enemies that can thwart your spells like Secret Mages. You can't kill that creature with your spells, but you can launch a 5/5 living bomb at it :) And if the Commander survives, it's likely to be damaged, so you can utilize your cards with appropriate synergy.
Pumpkin Peasant - nice control card. You kill their creature and gain some life back. What's not to like here?
