Hi I tried to calculate the average gold gain on quests after adding the new quests to the mix I didn't include the fact that you get way less 80 gold quests which is an obvious nerf to the gold gained in general but here are my calculations of the old vs new
included the pack quest as 100 gold since it's the worth of the quest anyway I know it's a little less though since you don't get to choose which pack but it's fine I guess.
Old: 15 40 gold (40.5%) 9 50 gold (24.3%) 10 60 gold (27.0%) 1 80 gold (2.7%) 2 100 gold (5.4%) Total:37 average quest: 52.167 (adding all up and then dividing by the amount of quests)
Again not exactly 100% cause of the rounding of the calculator.
SO basically the average gold gain from quests increased a bit that's without factoring reroll which gives you a better chance that when you reroll a 40 gold quest you will get a none 40 gold quest, the question about it is if you want to reroll 50 quests aswell then you have a 33.8% chance of losing 10 gold doing so, also a 0.66 chance of not gaining gold on the re roll of a 50 gold quest.
All that is if Blizzard doesn't have different quests and every quest have equal chance to appear.
Basically the gold "economy" is better except the 80 gold quest grinding exploit which now is twice as rare as before.
I don't really care about the gold gain cause gold flows so freely in HS. I'm up over 2000g again after getting it to 1000g a couple weeks ago buying packs. I just do quests with classes I like. If I hate the class or quest I dump it.

But you probably will spend a lot of gold on the new expansion or the heroic brawl so 2000g isn't really that much
The new expansion is close so everyone might want to look for maximizing the gold gain, besides gold being always relevant just to get more packs or arena runs..
For me it's been gold galore. Since the launch of the new quests I didn't have to complete a single 40g quest. Mostly 60g, guess a little lucky with the rerolls, but I appreciate the new quests alot.
Well, leaving probability and all aside, i've got the feeling im getting less gold overall.
No proof whatsoever, no evidence at all, i just feel it is like that, and also i dont like most new quests at all, like im really not in the mood to play 30 murlocs for instance. oh well...
Hey I did the math myself with rerolling. Actually factoring in rerolling 40/50 quests brought you to about 53,x expected value per day with the old quests.
Since the average Gold for quests is higher than 50 Gold, it would make sense to reroll 50 Gold to maximize your Gold Outcome. Furthermore, you can consider to not do a quest on the same if you reroll and your new quest is only 40 Gold worth and to reroll it the next day. However, this will make it more complicated and you can't be precise anyway. If i get a "win 5 games with X or Y" quest, i gain another 16,67 Gold, while it is not clear how many wins i make when i do a "Play 50 xxx Cards".

you play to win anyway most of the time and play 50 class cards is also more or less 5 wins.. since in a winning game you played a lot of cards most of the time(you know curve, or a lot of removal) so you roughly played 10 class cards per win (most cards in decks since WOTOG are class cards, the neutral set is a lot weaker on purpose, in GVG+Naxx it was the other way around cuz every deck had like 10 neutral stamples)
You have to play at least 3 shaman games to get 15 overload cards, unless you are using some very weak deck just to do a daily. Perhaps these dailies are easier for newbies, but for a players that can build most expensive decks they are breaking the game.
After introducing these new dailies I really want to abandon HS in general (...)
Have you heard about this new game mode called "Casual"? With new system it's up to you whether you complete your murloc quest playing Anyfin Pala on ladder or build a custom deck with every murloc possible and spam them like there's no tommorow. New players don't really have this choice.
In fact, noone forces you to complete quests. Or play the game in the first place...

Well, many might Play to win, but not everyone is doing that. Recently, i Play on three accounts and i try to get the quests done as soon as possible, so i put in as many Cards as possible. Sometimes i even win, but most of the time i do not. And even if you try to win all games. People use different decks and have different win rates. The Overall Point is that you can't say in General how many wins someone got after finishing the quests.

Sites like Hearthstone Meta Decks help in creating decks that are more likely to win when doing quest other then the win x games as this class quests. This boosts the potential gold value of such quests.
Would you anyone know if the probably of getting each quest is uniformly distributed? I'd imagine one constraint they would have is to disallow having the same quest after re-rolling or completing a quest (no actual proof though). I'm curious with the state of average gold per quest after the newest expansion.
Thanks!

Someone wrote that the quest probabilities is based on the amount of gold earned rather than individual quests.
It takes a lot of data to check this, though, and my feeling is that each quest is a "number in the hat" with equal probability.

I personaly get more 50 and 60 gold quests witch i'm happy with it :)

old you 3 win mean get extra 10 gold. Now you only can finish the quest by press concede button to reduce grind time.
