Welcome to our third Season Finale Mini-Competition! These Mini-Competition serve three purposes. First, they provide us with some fun stuff to do during the Finale's week-long Championship Poll. Second, they're a way for us to reward competitions winners who've won multiple competitions, since we can only give them an avatar border once. And Finally, they provide us unique opportunities to have competitions for design concepts that would normally be too narrow for full week-long competitions.
Hey, remember when Deathrattle Shaman was a thing? Isn't it weird that didn't carry over to when N'Zoth, the Corruptor became a thing? With Gadgetzan's new Legendary, White Eyes, being a Deathrattle minion, maybe it's time to make N'Zoth Shaman happen. Your task is simple: You must create a Shaman minion, and it must have a Deathrattle.
Of course, since the intent here is that you play the minion in a N'Zoth deck, it must have a positive Deathrattle that would have good synergy with that deck.
As always, you may not delete any posts you make in this Submission Topic. Message one of the Fan Creation moderators if you've posted here in error or otherwise would like your post removed.
Remember that, although HearthCards is awesome, you must host your card somewhere other than Hearthcards, such asImgur or Photobucket.
General Competition Rules
These are the rules that remain consistent from competition to competition.
First, these are the rules about Posting:
You are allowed to submit only one entry. An entry normally consists of only one collectible card, plus any necessary additional material or commentary (explained below).
You are allowed to post in this Submission Topic only once, only to submit your one entry.
You may not delete ANY posts you make in this Submission Topic, not even accidental ones you may make over your one allowed, such as by double-posting or by accidentally posting something here that you meant for the Discussion Topic. If you do accidentally post more than once, inform any of the Fan Creation Forum moderators via PM, and we will handle it.
Speaking of the Discussion Topic, that is where any discussion of this competition should go. This thread is for submissions only. If you want to discuss your card or ask questions about the competition rules or process, you can find a link to the Discussion Topic at the top of this thread. Plenty of folks there will be happy to help you out.
Once you have submitted your one entry, you are allowed to make only minor changes to it. Minor changes are things like correcting typos or making balance changes that do not alter the spirit of your entry as determined by we the moderators. If you want to make any changes and have any doubts as to their legality, ask us first.
These are the rules about your Submission:
Accompanying the image of your card, you may offer some minimal additional commentary to explain its design, balance, and/or other qualities. Flavor text is also welcome.
You may not submit any Gold cards. (It's just a cheap attention grab tactic that makes it unnecessarily difficult to determine what class your card is for.)
Your entry must be a card of your own creation. We've been doing this for a while, so if you blatantly rip off somebody else's idea, we will know.
Remember that, although HearthCards is awesome, you MUST host your card somewhere other than Hearthcards. Save it and upload it toImgur, Photobucket, or some other similar site. HearthCards has a limited server space and will purge cards after a few days, and nobody wants your card disappearing part-way through the finals. We understand that there are some HearthCards memberships that will allow you to save your card there for longer (and you should totally get one of those just for general fan creation purposes, by the way), but we don't know who has those memberships and we can't tell from the URLs.
Fun and even humorous entries are perfectly allowed, but "troll" entries will be disqualified. If you're worried that your card may be misinterpreted as a troll card, contact a moderator before you submit.
TIP: Though not a rule exactly, we highly recommend that you insert your images using this icon on the bar above the post text editor: . Just click that button and put in the URL of your image. Cards that are uploaded and attached to your post are not disallowed, but in our experience they will not do nearly as well, so this is for your own benefit more than anything.
Finally, know that manipulating votes in any way is strictly forbidden. Any violators will receive an official warning, and will be banned from this and all future HearthPwn Card Design Competitions.
Competition Process
NOTE: Mini-Competitions have very different time-tables than our normal competitions, so please pay attention so that you're not caught off-guard!
Entry Phase and Early Voting (Starts Now! Ends 20:00 UTC Tuesday, 6/Dec/2016) It is during this Phase that you may submit entries to the Submission Topic. You may also, of course, feel free to give early up-votes to any submissions that you like! Note that this is only 24 hours! Voting Phase (Starts 20:00 UTC Tuesday, 6/Dec/2016, 00:00 UTC Wednesday, 7/Dec/2016) During this Phase, the Submission Topic will be locked, so no more entries may be submitted. Instead, use this time to browse the submissions and up-vote your favorites! Note that this is only 4 hours! Final Phase (Starts 00:00 UTC Wednesday, 7/Dec/2016, 20:00 UTC Wednesday, 7/Dec/2016) During this Phase, the Discussion Topic will also be locked, and a new Poll Topic will go up. Discussion will be allowed to continue in the Poll Topic, and it will also include all the qualifying finalists and poll to decide the winner of the competition!
How do we determine the qualifying finalists? First, we'll pull up-vote data from each submission using the formula detailed below:
(ab) / (c) = x
Where, a = The total number of submissions on the same page as the submission. b = The total number of up-votes that the submission received. c = The total number of up-votes on the same page as the submission. x = The submission's final score.
The formula basically measures which cards stood out the most, with the necessary assumption that each page is about equal in overall submission quality. It will be the entries that receive the highest final scores that move on to the Final Phase.
The bottom line is that, although entries on the earlier pages of the Submission Topic are much more visible and thus receive many more up-votes than entries on later pages, you don't actually have to rush to get your entry in as soon as possible because the up-votes end up being weighted by what page your entry ends up on in order to determine its final score.
But wait, there's more! During each Card Design Competition, each Fan Creation Forum moderators will be given a Wild Card, which they can use to advance any one entry that they feel was initially overlooked or under-appreciated to the Final Phase, regardless of its final score. Wild Cards are our way of spicing things up a bit, but please don't ask to be given one or be upset if you aren't given one. These are just supposed to be fun. (Also, it should go without saying that, while we moderators are allowed to participate in the competitions, we are not allowed to benefit from Wild Cards.)
Rewards
Note that Mini-Competition winners, unfortunately, do not get to select any future competition theme.
Bragging rights are always awesome, but as usual, we do offer a couple of HearthPwn site rewards to competition winners: Their card forever immortalized in our Winners' Gallery! And a unique Avatar Border & "Card Design Champion" Title, as depicted below!
Flavour Text: "He´s still finding his favourite orange ball, and seems that it DigDugged right down"
Synergy and curve with White Eyes! Trigger other Deathrattles twice and twice the chaos on the board!! Can get bad and rad at early game, but at late game, kill this (Not beauty, XD) and get tons of benefits just for you!! Will your opponent be forced to kill other deathrattles, will silence this minion? Will kill it because you have a rad plan? No one knows what he is gonna do with that... but sure you....
Flavor text: Someone once asked him "wats up?" and he's never really gotten over it.
I love all of Shaman's lightning cards and so I thought i'd create another one. So it's basically Forked Lightning on a 4/4 body, but it's great for board control and taking out small value targets even if the minion doesn't last very long. Not quite sure about balance, but I think it's a good addition.
This card encourages control Shaman, instead of those SMOrc aggro decks that are always seen.
Also, this works well with N'zoth as it has a lot of stats. People who play N'zoth decks do not want to be summoning minions with 1 attack, as it wastes space and could be replaced with cards like this one. :)
I personally think the issue with N'zoth was always instant effects. The effect isn't too meta-defining to be broken but gives you a bit more survivability.
Comparable to Dreadsteed but with better stats as it's a lot more difficult the get positive value. Especially when the Deathrattle effect lands on a 0/2 totem, you're behind in tempo, or if your opponent is running board clears. However It would almost always get value through N'Zoth come late game.
Concept: You play what really boils down to a spell in the early game that draws you a healing card, either being inefficient or allowing you to survive early aggro. This transitions into a late game N'Zoth minion that provides good stats, along with any heals you may need to grab from your deck,
Works with the ol' windfury theme to Shamans. If you're running a Jade N'zoth deck and this hits one of your big golems that's pretty gross, and a lot of the targets for N'zoth are pretty big so if you can get a windfury on them is good. Not to mention this isn't poorly stated either
Probably squeezed to much into one card. But just having fun for this one. Main focus in on theme.
For those that don't know Squigs are wild hoping pet monsters orcs and goblins tame in Warhammer. They move randomly in that game hence the 50% attack. As for the deathrattle/battle cry, thats the squig eating a friendly and spitting it out later. The deathrattle synergy is for procing your deathrattles x2 and the flexibility to pop a deathrattle when no trades are available. The statline is based off Ogre Brute. Could maybe be better stated because the battlecry is potentially a disadvantage of sorts. I like how it came together despite the terrible text formatting xD.
With Totem Golem and Tunnel Trogg cycling out, Shaman is short on early game that isn't Spirit Claws. This card allows them to scale back to a more control style, has less aggressive stats and isn't a Totem, so they will be forced to play differently to benefit from the card.

This card is a Pompous Thespian combined with a Lightning Storm, at a total discount of 1 mana because deathrattle is less reliable than battlecry. Its a 3/2 and not a 2/3 so it can trade against a 5-health thing or a bunch of 2-health things. EDIT: The balance is that it loses value against spell-based decks or lone small things.
EDIT AGAIN: Should say "all enemy minions", not "all enemies". Whoops.
This is the Submission Topic. The Discussion Topic is here.

So, I once created Hagara already, but here's another attempt (hopefully better!)
In WoW Hagara uses various Ice and Lightning spells, so that's what I was going for :)
You can't stop the signal.
Elemental Destruction

"Elephants guide me." -Thrall
This card works as a 1 mana drop in N'Zoth Shaman deck which grants you card draw to Ancestral Spirit, Ancestral Knowledge, Maelstrom Portal and Stormcrack. These 2 mana drop spells are essential in early game for N'zoth Shaman. I am inspired by Meanstreet Marshal but mine grants a guaranteed card draw.
Concept: You play what really boils down to a spell in the early game that draws you a healing card, either being inefficient or allowing you to survive early aggro. This transitions into a late game N'Zoth minion that provides good stats, along with any heals you may need to grab from your deck,

Class Creation Finalist: The Astromancer
Best cards vote by community:
Lorewise, it's based off the Faceless-themed Evolution cards for Shaman (e.g., Master of Evolution, Evolve). The effect here can be very powerful if you buff up the attack with cards like Flametongue Totem, Rockbiter Weapon, or Bloodlust. With just +2 Attack from Flametongue, you can get stuff like Sylvanas Windrunner and Emperor Thaurissan. It would combo well with Ancestral Spirit and then Bloodlust after summoning two of them from N'zoth.

Why Rogue is my favourite class:
My submission for this week's card design competition.
The obvious flavor here is Lightning Storm because Elemental Destruction doesn't synergise well with N'Zoth, the Corruptor. I couldn't find a way to turn Lightning Storm into a verb so I got stuck with this.
This card is a Pompous Thespian combined with a Lightning Storm, at a total discount of 1 mana because deathrattle is less reliable than battlecry.
