You can find me here! Good luck everyone!
First time in the finals :D
Besides my own card, I really like Putricide's Monster and Hidden Dagger. They have my votes!
Also congrats to Crawsushi. I saw his card in discussion and knew it would make it to finals.
Explosive Shot => Meteor
Power Word: Tentacles => Spikeridged Steed
Finals...we meet again.
As always, good luck to everyone.
Hidden Dagger the one that really stands out to me. Shame the masquerade effect didnt really make it.
Cards I like:
Putricide's Monster - would make some really interesting decks and combos, too gimmicky to see high level play but would be really crazy and fun when it works. Pity it's legendary though as that massively hurts the consistency when making a deck around it.
Scared Assassin - Activating your combos for 1 mana anytime you want is pretty cool and may even let cards like kidnapper see some play, balanced by being useless without combo cards.
Hidden Dagger - Really fits the rogue theme and makes you choose between benefiting from immune and being able to attack after using backstab or sinister strike.
Hallow Witch - Really strong vs aggro, extremely week vs control and combo decks. Nice tech card.
All Hallow's Tree - Awesome design, keeps aggro and mid range at bay but if your opponent is in no rush you pretty much just killed one of your own minions. Nice trade off and balance.
Cards I find overpowered:
Feline Familiar - Makes dreadstead look like an angry chicken. Not only does this give infinite value like dreadstead but you can play it on turn one as a tempo card (it has vanilla stats for it's cost). You can play it 4 times before it costs as much as dreadstead but it has double the attack and you can just play it on your spare mana where as dreadstead had a massive tempo loss the turn it was played to make up for the infinite value. Having two of these in your hand pretty much gives you a second hero power that summons two 2/1s. Putting pallys justicar buff to shame.
Tomb Skeleton - Same reason as above but this guy is even more broken. Just need to play any card that steals a card and you have infinite 3 mana 3/4s. As we can see with cards like Tentacles for Arms and The Skeleton Knight, cards with infinite value need to come at a cost, neither of these do meaning they just massively mop the floor with other normally stated minions. Not to mention the issues that come with this guy and N'zoth.
Misty Mage - Once again an infinite value problem. Drawing him basically gives you a second hero power that gives you +2 spell damage on your next spell. Something that would need a large amount of mana investment to get like justicar, problem is this has no investment and can be used early game, making your arcane explosions into a better consecration, arcane blasts into a 3 mana fireballs, not to mention the havoc he'd do in aggro mage. Basically a hunter hero power that can be used any number of times so long as you have a face spell to cast. Plus he is literally impossible to counter..
Anyway those are my thoughts, good luck all!

I know what cards people vote for now. Putricide's Monster will win. For the art.
THERE IS NO GAME.
Hey! I can finally access threads again. Anyway my big note for this competition is... I actually really like most of these cards. Honestly most of them are balanced and fit the Hallow's End theme quite well. Because I can't narrow my choice down to 3 or less options, I am going to abstain from voting, however well done to everyone who made it to the finals. You all did a great job!
RedneckBudha
Yay, I made it!
Anyways, there are some interesting ones here, so I'll just give feedback on some. Apart from my own, I'm voting for Hidden Dagger and Putricide's Monster.
The Hidden Dagger is pretty cool, essentially being 3 Backstabs in a single card (with the option of just dealing 2 and taking some damage), and the flavour is there as well. Not sure about how it's 'Halloweeny', but I'm not going to just disqualify it for that. I'm voting for this one.
Scared Assassin is also pretty interesting, essentially giving you a 1-mana Combo Enabler that also combos with Knife Juggler (although that combo isn't all that relevant, I could still see myself making a deck using the two Knife Jugglers, spamming this guy, the concealing them for like 10 damage + 20 damage over two turns). However, it's usually just gonna be a dead card, and that can be a problem. You rarely run into a situation when you've got a card you want to combo but you somehow can't trigger it by playing something that actually does something. Again, I raise the question about how it's 'Halloweeny'. The art could also probably be centred on the Gnome in my opinion.
Putricide's Monster is also pretty cool. You could make some pretty interesting gimmicks with it, and that's always a plus for me (Gimmick decks FTW). Not sure how balanced it is, but it seems hard enough to trigger. It also does have the kinda 'Halloween' feel. It's probably strong enough to be included in some decks, but building a deck around it is probably impossible, considering its Legendary status and the amount of cards you would need to Combo it with. Still pretty cool, and I'm voting for it. And no, it's not because it looks cute.
Tricks or Trees - I honestly don't really like this one. For one - come on, where's the Druid border? Seriously, man? The transforming enemy minions effect is probably a bit too weak for 8 mana, since you're not actually removing anything (Compare with Poison Seeds), while the summoning option is a little bit too strong when you compare it to Wisps of the Old Gods, which does the same thing for 1 less mana, except the tokens are 1/1s.
Feline Familiar - why not make the effect a Deathrattle? Like, 'Deathrattle: Return this minion to your hand instead', or 'Add a Feline Familiar to your hand', or something like that. It'll look so much nicer (unless I'm messing up the mechanics). It's way too strong at (1) mana, needs to probably be (2).
Why Rogue is my favourite class:
My submission for this week's card design competition.
Voted for Hallow Witch, although it could easily backfire against some control decks since it's in the dreaded 4-attack slot. Was that voluntary ?
Also is it me or yebaba has been in every final phase for a while ?
Custom cards :
CLASSES : Alchemist (CCC#5 | Phase V) | Chef (CCC#4)
EXPANSIONS : Year of the Scorpion (Year Comp)
Halloween theme aside, a lot of really cool cards came out of this!
Wish you the best of luck to all the finalists!
Also if you're going to quote something, don't quote entire sessions. It just clutters the whole page, not cool.

I think its always nice when people credit the source of an image if its known but I agree that any requirement for people to create their own art would effectively kill this competition. Certainly all of the contestants this week would need to be disqualified. Everyone just grabs from google images.
I ended up liking most of the finalists this time and I think have the choice of three prompts worked nicely - gives a lot of variety in the final set. Aside from my own (first time in the finals!), I really like Scared Assassin and Hallow Witch. They get my votes. From purely a design perspective, I also think Hidden Blade is a fantastic card but it doesn't get my vote this week because I'm not seeing how it is connected to Halloween/All Hallow's Eve at all, even under the loose definition given in the Discussion Topic that anything related to "spooky" creatures (ghosts, vampires, werewolves, etc.) counts.
I had interpreted it as being a reference to those urban legends about razors and needles being hidden in candied apples and other Halloween candy. We probably could have asked them to be clearer about that with the art, though, since it doesn't convey that so well.
Oof, that was a close one! Congrats to Crawsushi! =D
Yet another victory to add to the resume. Thanks everyone :D I honestly didn't think my card would go this far and while I understand what RumblingDumpling is saying, I'd like to believe people voted Putricide's Monster for it's concept. I started with the idea of a baby Hydra that can grow rapidly out of control which is something hydra's are known for flavor-wise. I was just lucky to have the perfect artwork show up as the first result in google images when you search "baby hydra" :P

Yeah I don't know what Hallows end is. If you check page 2 of the discussion thread you'll see I made a mistake and forgot about the Spooky/Halloween element, so to fix it I renamed the card into a parody of Frankensteins monster. Wasn't the original plan but the mods were happy with it
