Ladies and Gentlemen, here is the MUST CRAFT CARD of the expansion. It even affects Pirate Warrior if you live to turn 6 (Upgrade!).
1. At the time of this writing, there are no Knights of the Frozen Throne spell cards affected.
2. Various Paladin and Druid decks, Inner Fire relying Priests, Taunt/Control Warrior and Evolve Shaman are among those hit hardest. Mage is the least affected.
3. Does this affect discounts? If so, Mages may be reluctant to choose secrets from Primordial Glyph (1 mana). Spell reduction minions may also be a risk.
4. Anyone holding onto their quest may get burned.
Here is the list of STANDARD cards affected. Sorry if the card links aren't accurate ...
Speaking as a gold priest player, there's a minor setback with losing Potion of Madness and Power Word: Shield.
However, I'm glad that I've moved from Inner Fire winning. Back in Naxx era and when I returned last year with just that set and a handful of classic cards, Inner Fire on a big Divine Spirit-buffed minion (Mogu'shan Warden, we had some good times) was the only way to win WHEN I DIDN'T HAVE JACK (or Priests didn't).
After getting legendaries, dragons and plenty more, I saw Inner Fire as the poor man's card or cheap shot way to win.
If this card becomes a staple in decks like Azure Drake, I feel for the newbie Priest players.
Guys with plenty of deck options still relying on the Inner Fire cheap shot? F--k em.
Silence Priest will still get some play as 4/8s and other bloated minions will still prove to be problems, but trying to win on superhealth minion might be a race at best, dicey gamble at worst.
Adios, Jade Druids, btw. I figure there will be some holdouts and experiments.
I am kinda afraid of this card, cheap spells like Jade Idol are only OP because of Auctioneer. Instead of tackling the real problem they've made this. I mean, the stats are really good for the effect. Against a lot of classes it has fairly high impacts and against Jade Druid you may as well win the game, not only do you take their unlimited jades you always destroy their health gain.
It's funny because there are cards in this set that look really fun because they are high impact cards with 5/3 statlines that will sadly never see play, however the stats on this are just fine.
It does take down Jades head on, however it doesn't quite answer the real reason behind why jade was an absolute power house in the first place. I feel like this card has only been created to counter Jades, although it does have some effects against other decks too, they're not nearly as impactful. Auctioneer is not a good card for Hearthstone as there shouldn't be a card that has so much power, but that said, a card like this is like a really bad solution for an ongoing problem, this heavily impacts future design too.
I know everyone is hyped about the annihilation of Jade Druid (Which is glorious btw) but I love how this card shits on stupid Priests playing Inner Fire, that it gets rid of annoying Potion of Madness and messes up with Evolve Shaman.... I'm just sad that it also hurts Miracle Rogue a lot....
There is a problem with this card though. Yes it kills Jade Druid, but it would still be risky to run in control warrior because it destroys your whirlwinds and shield slams. However Warrior already have plenty of whirlwind effects including blood razor from this expansion but as for shield slam I guess control warrior would have to be very careful how they play it or rely more on execute, strange how Execute getting nerfed from 1 mana to 2 is now a buff.
Not many of those are key plays at/after turn 6 but earthen scales (druid again!) stands out, as does evolve, though shaman will likely still use that, just more generally to buff boards rather than just saving it for doppleganger combo.
some deck will hurt : silence priest, miracle rogue, secret paladin(wild),freeze mage (wild) and JADE DRUID obviously
i dont think this card affect token/evolve shaman ,maybe doppleganster + evolve no longer viable but evolve a good board before turn 5 still pretty good, plus some deck already run jade package +spirit echo as alternative win conditions

Shaman actually look like they're getting screwed harder than Druid, potentially. Warrior and Rogue getting hit hard, too. And all Paladin secrets.
This card shouldn't exist. Nothing should be able to just delete that much stuff from your opponent's deck.
how will this affect arena
kisses are a better fate than wisdom
Kills jade, kills evolve, kills garden rogue holly hell this is a serious tech card.
So meta will evolve around the mindgame, to play this or not to play this.
This is basically THE card of the set.
Probably doesn't go in control warrior because of shield block but definitely goes in control paladin
Inb4 Druid Death Knight summons Jade golems. kek
Release the Kraken!

mill warlock has one more tool. i wonder if mill warlock will be playable even as a meme deck with this expansion.
That is litteraly game-breaking both for Standard and Wild! What an amazing card!
Absolutly meta-defining for both Ladders, great move Blizzard: this are the card we need to refresh the game.
For what profit is it to a man, if he gains the world and loses his own soul?
I hope childish priest decks will die too. "Look at me! I have a big minion, yay!"
Best in Control Paladin Decks!

I think it is good that a counter to jade druid for slower decks has come, but I think it's sad that it's just a brute tactic like this.
Obviously meta-defining. Bit heavy handed though ;)
