Seven mana Dr.Boom was very strong and uncounterable for many archetypes and playing him on turn 9 letting you use the hero power at the same turn he was played. Now Control Warrior almost lost him.
Is 9 mana Dr.Boom worthy to play or should Warrior players find a way for another deck archetypes like tempo or aggro warrior? What do you think?
The thing is. Boom nerf doesn't really impact warriors game agains't aggro since they already have enough tools to stay afloat. Boom just comes out 2 turns later in a control match up, in which you're going the distance a anyhow.
I'd say against most aggro decks the nerf probabaly isn't a big deal. But Playing aggro warrior I've beat all of the control warriors I've faced so far. It's not many but it's clear not having boom on 7 hurt that matchup because of the burst damage aggro warrior can do
If the older DK's still around I will say the card is crap but with only 3 hero cards in Standard he still very strong, just not retarded anymore when all warrior players hard mulligan for a 7 manas card...
Warrior have massive survavility, reach the end game for Boom and omega cards is a piece of cake.
I wish they make his armor on playing the card 5 mana so he is in line with other hero cards as he lost the 7-7-7 flavour anyway. Leave blast shield to give 7 armor though
Top deck in legend WR is control warrior, at 57% next is murlocs at 54%. I went 15-3 from rank 3 to high rank one with CW yesterday. Quest shaman conceded twice when boom was dropped on 9. Keep up with tempo and hes the same value bomb.

And the problem with this is that playing other control decks like Control Priest and Control Warlock is stuff of dreams until Boom rotates out.
Boom still a good card, 2 turns later but the value is still insane. Warrior as and always had alot of tools to survive and still do. But for some reason I played 3 games yesterday, and every game my 2 brawls were in the bottom 6 cards of the deck... what gives lol
Playing Rogue recently, and my 2 matches with Warrior is against Dr.Boom. 1 Win-1 Lose so certainly not salt as all, just want to discuss. Guess what? They keep Dr.Boom on turn 1 (just notice the position of the card). Just like, the nerf is not really changing anything and these Warrior game plan is just the same. Cannot remember any DK Hero cards was used like that tho...

DK Jaina was usually kept in the opening hand. Also it was often a good decision to wait with the coin until turn 8 to get Jaina online ASAP.

Is this what you experienced? or is it what you think? I cannot recall that many game in which they keep DK Jaina in the opening hand. DK Jaina on turn turn 8-9 was possible, but probably players were not likely to keep it. Reason? Back on these day, they have to find the way to survive till turn 9 since there were so many thing that can beat them early. Nowaday is different since there is no other Hero cards to compete with Dr.Boom. Even in the whole year of Raven, Dr.Boom saw almost no play just because other Hero cards exist, but right now it's dominant. The fact that it's the only competing Hero card makes Warrior feel safe to keep a 9 cost in their opening hand is just purely bad.
9 mana is great. Its still one of the best value cards in standard and can still carry games. I would want more nerfs to the card, but the fact that I personally play less control warrior this season makes me happy.

Boom is unplayable

Sure thing, bruh.
I still play him - two turns later is not a big deal in control warrior.

I still see him being played also Conjurer calling still being played nothing new in meta

CW warrior is just hot garbage now if you don't play pure aggro

CW still wins the match-ups it used to win, and it still loses the match-ups it used to lose.
There were never any match-ups close enough for this change to make an impact.
The Battlecry and the Hero Power are going to have the same effect on the game even if they crank the mana cost up to 10.
