Not a 2 of i think, but from what im going to guess this will be a 1 of in every priest deck. 1 more Dragonfire potion? 1 more Lightbomb? 1 more Mindblast? 1 more Greater healing potion? 1 more entomb? 1 more shadow word pain/death? the flexibility is there and the comparable card is to hunter's Tracking. You would see it played sometimes to get some powerful card right now at the cost of discarding two, but the fact that you can choose made it really strong when you pick the right card after evaluating the situation. This card, Shadow Visions, gives you specific card draw which comes at not cost other than the mana usage which control priest or even dragon priest usually wouldn't mind sparing the 2 mana. I'd go as far to say this is one of my favourite strong control cards in this expansion next to Tar Creeper

to actually use this spell in the way you describe it you need to run a specific range of spells to no discover the wrong one, play this on turn 2 which is a huge tempoloss or risk to draw it, and run shit like entomb and dragon fire potion 2 times to have the odds to discover these
this is so greedy double mind control looks reasonable to run in comprassion lol

The thing is, priest has many spells which accomplish the same general thing. AOE, hard removal and good healing, maybe the odd mindblast here and there. Situational cards like power word shield and circle of healing could screw up your choices, but the ratio of good picks to bad is overwhelmingly in the good picks favour, like dark peddler to a lesser extent or even Kazakus with the choices to make for a good potion

is it? what runs current dragon priest now? 2 pain, 2 death, 2 shield staples, then maybe potion of madness, dragonfire and nova. seems not that amazing to me (yes dragon fire potion is so clunky that a lot of dragon priest at legend even not run 1 not talking about 2)
besides that dragon priest ist not gonna be a thing after the rotation, dark peddler and such are a bad example, this things have a body. we are talking about basicly doing nothing for 2 mana, if that hits bad spell you are simply playing a worse version of a power word shield cycle which is saying something and losing tempo

OK fine maybe not dragon priest but i wasn't a fan of it anyway, i was leaning more towards OTK decks with Board clears and combo's, and maybe N'zoth decks if testing proves it is good. Kazakus is also unreliable in that sense as the 3 picks you get are sometimes just ass, which i think happens alot less than when it is great. Hearthstone is about RNG so its hard to give up such power because of sheer luck, like how implosion used to be run even though hitting for two would be so bad.

yeah ok could be good in some tier 3 combo priest with 3 mindblasts + velen i guess but this is not a good card to me then
I mean i dont really consider combo decks to be a tier, more like 4 archtypes of control, midrange, aggro and combo with each having different playstyles and types of cards used to achieve their win condition. If the meta really does slow down into a quest based meta. I'd go as far to say combo decks would be tier 1, but then emperor is rotating out ;-; feelsbadman
In Wild this will be a staple in EVERY reno-priest deck. Having only 1 entomb and 1 shadow word: death is one of the big weakness in reno-priest: now we actually can decide what spell we need double without risking that reno doesn't work.
Also we didn't saw any new priest-spells yet beside of this.
I don't know how this card can be good for otk, but for a Reno-style/control deck it'll be probably a must: semi-tutor card to search for "THAT removal" it seems quite strong. Also in Priests drawing has always been an issue and this card creates anyway some value with a low cost card (and Priest deck don't have many 2 mana cards at this point anyway, since Wyrmrest Agent is going out of Standard).
Also in decks with few spells the search will be in a very restricted range of cards so it's effect can be maximized.

For what profit is it to a man, if he gains the world and loses his own soul?
After some plays, this card is definitly the most closer thing to a MTG tutor card: with Shadow Visions you can alway (or most of the time) pull out the exact spell that you need, when you need it. And that is absolutly amazing because it reduce the inconsistency and the lack of drawing that Priest always had.
Until now I think that is the best card of Un'goro for the class, far way versatile and usefull than the quest or anything else.

As I said, I think it's good, especially against Control, but you need to consider this:
Pirate Warrior kills you through taunts and healing on turn 5. Is spending 2 mana to draw a card, even a specific card, going to help you survive?

I see elemental priest becoming a thing. This card can get you inner fire/divi spirit easy.
Kobolds are almost as bad as goblins, they gotta die (⌐■_■)–︻╦╤─
Dis card is pure lulz kek

It give u the chance to find a good answer to a problem during the match....OPOP
Priest will take a single significant hit after this rotates.
the whole class might be weaker if we say this card is the only card that rotates from priest.
The first page of this topic just confirms how clueless people are evaluating cards before the expansion.
If you thought you knew what you think I know, then you'd know I knew you knew I know.
