Though the first reaction anyone might have is that this will always deal less than efficient damage, it's important to keep in mind just how flexible it is. Whereas you might not have enough damage with a Frostbolt, or you'd be overkilling a target withFireball, this card will always deal exactly as much damage as you want it to. You just use whatever extra mana you have and then kill the target with just as much resources as needed. The flexibility of the card is incredible and I'm expecting to see it pretty much everywhere.
Seems pretty bad. All the flexibility it gives in damage, it looses in only targeting minions. Also, the damage itself is VERY low for the cost, just compare it with fireball or flamelance. I would never pick this card over other damage/removal mage card, not even in a Reno deck because there are already very good options.
Am I the only one that thinks 0 mana spells are OP by themselves for Mages?
This is basically a guaranteed extra fireball from Antonidas, or a way to end that Flamewaker combo.
But it's not really 0 mana
Yes, it's is, turn 7 Antonidas + this = fireball.
But, anyway, is the most crap card I see in entire game release so far, only hit minions, a cost 1 damage spell causes 2 or 3, a cost 2 causes 3 or 4, a cost 5 causes 8, etc...
Mages have enough damage spells that they don't need to run a horribly inefficient one like this: see Arcane Blast, Frostbolt, Forgotten Torch, Fireball, Flame Lance, Fireball, Pyroblast... If I needed more removal, I'd rather run Arcane Blast/Forgotten Torch/Flame Lance over this.
I also don't see why they had to limit it to minions only. Even at 10 mana, it is merely equivalent to a Pyroblast, so it would never power creep any other card if it could target heroes.
I know the flexibility is potentially strong but no.. I think even Flame Lance might still be a better removal. The price for it's flexibility is to high I think-> no burst + less damage than other spells but we will see.

Who can take your trash out? Stomp it down for you? Shake the plastic bag and do the twisty thingy, too?
It may not be quite mana efficient on curve, BUT it lets you use make your awkward off-curve turns work. And, can replace a lot of hero-power turns. Say you have 7 mana, play a azure drake + this for 3 damage, a minion and card draw.
Good in in those janky Control (Savij style) mages I think.
Now THIS is a bad card. Only chance of it working is malygos, and I bet there are already much better cards than this one to play in a malymage.
It's not that problematic, tho, becuase this is mage, and mages just have few "astonishing bad cards" (wich means, really poor in constructed and arena).
I just don't see any situation where this card is good... Honestly, flexibility is pointless if it is just mediocre in every situation. Mage has so much good removal and cards that eat up deck slots, I doubt a card like this could find room in a constructed deck.
I returned to this game much like how a recovering alcoholic can relapse.

This is going to be a hot card, especially for Frost Mage.
Also I like golden etc:

Really good synergy with Malygos. Can potentially have a turn 9 4/12 with 5 or 10 damage of removal.
i think you can use it after u spend all your mana. turn 7 throw tony, than deal 7 damage to a minion and get fireball :)
This is a really, really interesting card.

Dude read the card again. You misunderstood it
Bad card and this is good. Mages have too many good spells.

Now this is more like it! Mechanicly unique and interesting cards is what we want.More of this, less brainless c'thun 'neutral anyfin' rubbish.
Love it. I might finally be able to make a spell damage mage deck viable <3

Great, dank versions of Dragon's Breath and Flame Lance. I'm sure you'll see just as much play.
I suspect this is better than it looks. Now I just have to figure out WHY it is better than it looks. I'm so thankful it doesn't hit face though!
