Just got to Legend by playing this deck.
Obviously this is one of the easiest deck you can play and reach legend at this moment.
Enjoy fast climbing and spread the hate!
You'll want to finish quest using: Fire Fly, Glacial Shard, Flame Elemental or Wisp.
Mulligan for the one of above and for return to hand effects, sometimes you can keep Preparation if you get good cards from start.
The charge minions are the last one you want to use from your hand most of the time, unless you need to use them to clear some threats.
How do you beat aggro decks? I can finish my quest by turn 4 but I'm already dead most of the time
Well aggro are the worst, you'll need Glacial Shard to keep freezing them while you do your quest and Vanish with Preparation.
The thing is agrro matchups are the hardest because u need some time to finish ur quest... and while you do that your board pressence is almost 0.
can someone pls tell me how i play against this **** aggro hunters and pirat warriors
First game with this deck and I finish the quest on turn 3... Wisp is a super good pick in this deck
I went from Rank 18 to Rank 15 in only 4 games. Thanks for the deck list, and I agree completely with the decision of adding [card]Wisp[/card] over [card]Swashburglar[/card]. Thanks again!
You're welcome
i love how this deck can be a F2p deck
Start playing less than 2 months ago and got a golden caverns below as my first every legendary in a pack! I will soon have enough dust to finish this deck minus patches. I could probably dust some things and finish it now, but don't want to dust anything that I'll regret later.
Why use wisp over something like swashburgerler?
I don't like Wisp in this deck. Most of the time it doesn't matter if a minion costs 0 or 1 mana. I'm playing a pretty similar list, but i try out Coldlight Oracle and Doppelgangster at the moment.
I tryed with Swashburglar too, the thing is Wisp is good in some situations (example when used with quest on turn 5 or with vanish in order to get him back to hand) and Swashburglar sometimes can help you with RNG, but it also summons Patches the Pirate and most of the time when you use Swashburglar your Patches the Pirate will be 1-1, which is pretty easy to clear and another downside is Golakka Crawler.
So when you use Wisp your only chance to summon Patches the Pirate is with Southsea Deckhand and when that happens most of time your Patches the Pirate will be 5-5.
You'll see that this deck can be build with different cards, play one way, change some cards and see which one is better for you.
Coldlight Oracle is good, it can replace one Igneous Elemental or Mimic Pod but Doppelgangster is really bad, play 5 mana for 3x 5-5 and if you get early on it is a dead card in your hand for a while, even Murloc Tidehunter is better 2 mana for 2x 5-5 but Bilefin Tidehunter is the best one, it is summon 2x 5-5 and one of them has taunt.
How has Doppelgangster been working for you? I tried it a couple games but then figured by the time the quest is done, 5 mana for 3 minions doesn't seem worth it. Seems like having more cheap cards that cycle is better. (btw still pretty new to game)
Coldlight Oracle works really good, it makes sure that you're not running out of cards and pressure in long matches. For me it helped a lot, i lost most of the matches because of missing pressure at the end (for example when double Dragonfire Potion or double Brawl was played.
Doppelgangster is okay, but not that good. I liked to bounce it back and spam the board, but as said above, there are better alternatives.
My current thoughts: completing the quest with 2 wisps and 2 shadowsteps saves a ton of mana. This seems like an ideal case, but even just completing the quest with ferryman and brewmaster using wisp saves you 4 mana assuming your target would otherwise cost 1 mana. Can also get ferryman or brewmaster on the board turn 2 without using coin. If you draw wisp late, then it is a free 5/5 on the board.
Is it worth to craft Rogue Legendary? My only missing card to play this deck.. And is the deck good playing right now on ladder?
It is really good once you understand how to play different matchups, but it can definitely get you to legend, got there like 4-5 days ago with this deck. It's not like meta got different from then.
If you want a cheap deck to reach legend I recommend you this or pirate warrior or even hunter deck, your choice.
i would recommend midrange hunter
You can replace Patches with Shiv for a really budget version. Just to those who don't have it.
Indeed, it is a good replacement, Patches the Pirate is good when you not draw it and you can use Southsea Deckhand after you get the quest done, it's 10 charge dmg.
