posted a message on First cards from my upcoming expansion: The Guardians vs The Fallen Ones

The heaven guardian should be changed to 10 health (both effects) and have no deathrattle. The druid legendary should have 1 health. The air guardian is just asking to be nerfed, too easy to combo with. The fire guardian's aoe just doesn't seem relevant by turn 10, but the deathrattle basically just reads "Are you playing any control deck besides priest with entomb? Oh you are? Thanks for the free win."

Which is why no one will be playing wild.

You couldn't be more wrong. As people progress through the game they will experience several standard rotations, by that point in time the wild meta will be be so much more content than standard. You don't want to miss out on what could be years of fun just because you aren't patient.
ps: If you are willing to put money into a game it should probably be one you think you're going to enjoy for years to come :)

I would buy league of explorers and the $5 welcome bundle. DO NOT BUY KHARAZAN. Every card you get from both league of explorers and kharazan will cycle out eventually, but LOE's cards are way more influential in wild, which you will end up playing in the future, making a better long term investment.

You say not to buy karazhan because it is going to cycle out eventually,  It will not cycle out until 2018.  Then you go and talk about LOE for wild which is cycling out of standard in 3-4 months.
Karazhan is easily worth 20$, and has plenty of cards that are beneficial
Kharazan is a sack of crap. I would trade the legendaries from that set for a kit-kat. LOE's cards will be influential in wild forever.
Yeah, but not everyone cares about playing wild. Yeah, I get some people say that people should get it as an investment for the future in case they do, but this is a video game not the stock market, people should get what's fun now, not try to make "investments" lol.
When it comes to card games, investing is one of the most important things you can do. Would you like to be the guy to spend 3200 dust crafting just reno and brann so you can play just a single archetype? Right now the cardpool for standard and wild don't differ in size that much. In a couple of years wild will be so immense that if you didn't invest or play from the beginning you won't be able to play it at all.

Are you being serious dude...? It's kind of general knowledge that 'supplies' also means man hours. So yeah, 10 designers may be testing a card for a total of 100 hours, but the entire player base will test a card for about 1.000.000.000 hours. Guess which one is more likely to find out crazy combos? (I know, some cards are obviously strong, but they are probably meant to be strong. Don't use that argument again).
Oh and thanks for noticing that all 50 million Hearthstone players don't go sit together in a room somewhere and try to figure out how a card works. I really thought that was the case.
    #sarcasmoff
Thanks for completely ignoring my point and diverting the topic with sarcasm, it really shows you actually understand how balancing in games works.
When a company makes a faulty product, the product breaks in the hands of each single person who purchased it. This is the company's fault. In the case of Hearthstone balancing, if I, someone who plays this game a couple hours a week, can play with a card for 5 games and realize it's too strong, it means Blizzard screwed up. Don't believe the crap they dish out about "Oh it's sooo hard for us, were on a reeeaaally limited budget, (feel bad for us please)". Blizzard can easily afford to spend the resources it would take to ensure a balanced game, but that costs something called money and companies like money.

The hearthstone devs actually have ACCESS to the cards, they are supposed to balance these cards before they get released. If sets really do take 8 months to design, you can imagine they have had PLENTY of time to test these cards. When the hearthstone community can find and abuse unbalanced cards within a month after an expansion, you can tell the dev's didn't do their job.
1 - We don't know how much broken cards they actually do filter out. Maybe we would have 5 Dr. Booms every expansion if they really didn't do their job?
2 - Like Ben Brode once said: They have limited supplies. So it's definitely possible that 10 designers won't figure out in 8 months what a community of 10 million players can in a day.
Limited supplies? Are they joking? What do the computers run on, battery packs?
Also it's not like all us players get together and collaborate, it's more just us trying the card for a few hours and going, "Wow this is just better than it should be."

posted a message on What's the most disappointed and impressed you've been by a card?

For me the most I've been disappointed by is Krul the Unshackled. Instead of getting something reasonably costed, warlock got another bulky 9 mana legendary. Not that it isn't interesting, it's definitely a cool card, just not what I was hoping for.

The most impressed I've been was Undercity Huckster. This little guy quickly became a mainstay in a lot of rogue decks even though he didn't seem like much when he was spoiled.

Ffs guys, so many people complaining about how the Hearthstone designers are 'too stupid to see that a card is broken'...

Remember when everybody thought Dr. Boom and Antique Healbot would be BAD, but Enhance-O-Mechano and Troggzor would be GOOD?

Hmm yeah... Seems like it's not that easy to predict if a card will be good enough (not counting stuff like 4 mana 7/7's, which are obviously meant to buff a weak class).

It's funny you considered even MCT as removal, but you didn't mentioned Siphon Soul

he did not have Siphon Soul
LOL Siphon Soul is one of the best removals renolock has, no one would play without it, most likely he never got a chance to play it. Some people have such a low grasp on how decks actually work these days. If you have to run "11" removal cards AND Reno Jackson in order for your control deck to be viable, then the meta must be pretty full of aggro face-tards.
