Well there is a caviat, if you trigger all secrets, a portal shows up, if you somehow mind control it, you can become the cow king and just destroy him.
Value is extremely subjective, and different folks will place the value of these things differently. That being said, I don't see how 40 dust is worth more to people than a collectible cardback, which more than likely, will only be available this week. The cardback is one of best looking ones yet, and most players wont miss the 40 dust out of the 1,920 you get over the course of the year from TB packs. Don't care about cardbacks? Well the brawl is an easy way to grind quests, there are multiple avenues to earning free packs.
Card back is better how? Does the card back generate dust, cards you don't have, reduce your legendary pity timer, etc? They should just give both and stop being stingy. This is supposedly a celebration event and yet another useless card back doesn't feel like much to celebrate.
i just cant understand this. its a free game. blizz is generous with the free pack a week.
they did so much great work with this weeks brawl. i would expect anything of a reward than the brawl itself.
the back is debateble, could be more unique like the winterveil-back but this is complaining on a very high level.
you guys should just enjoy this brawl but you always are so greedy ... sad.
It's not about greed. Would you rather have a quarter or a commemorative coin? One has value, and the other is simply aesthetic. It's a pretty straightforward choice for most.
of course its about greed. you dont care if the brawl is good or not. you care about the reward and thats it.
my post said it all. brawl is great. good work. no need for any reward! but you got a card back that may fit a demonic-themed deck or something like that. i will put the back on my demon-lock deck.
but its more about the fact that people will ALWAYS complain. if the brawl is shit and inunspirational, people dont enjoy the free-pack but complain about the uncreativity. if the brawl is good and you get a nice gimmick with it, people complain about not getting the free pack.
thats ungrateful!
Wanting the weekly pack that we've become accustomed to getting each week does not make one greedy.
Also, my response was only to point out that a pack is more useful to the average player than a card back. One advances you within the game and the other is no different than just using a different hero skin. I would imagine most F2P players prefer free packs to free artwork.
Wanting the pack does make you greedy. You get a pack every week, what's one week without it to get something with much more value instead?
Actually, during Heroic Brawl we had our free pack taken away as well and Heroic Brawl may very well become a monthly type of thing. A free pack removed once monthly and during special events and then you're out 15 packs in a year; it adds up. That doesn't make someone greedy. You're just a moron.

And? Who cares, bro? People like me who usually don't give a shit about classic packs also exist, stop being so f..king selfish, please.
Disgusting, just f..king disgusting. This kind of attitude makes me sick.
Everyone cares about you Sherm, that's why Blizz should just award the pack as well as the back. It's a "celebration" after all. I'd prefer to celebrate with my free pack because I've had considerable luck with opening legendaries from Tavern Brawl packs. I appreciate it very much and it's a disappointment to not to get one during a celebration event. That is all. That does not make someone greedy.
I beat the hooded guy but didn't get a pack for winning? Anybody else?
The Gheed is strong in this one. Gambled and lost. His hatred will lead to the destruction of his soul. Stone is his heart and he will wonder lost forever.
LOL, and who wants 40 dust when you have almost an entire collection, an insane amount of dust, and a lot of gold... :)
I'd still want the dust everytime. Card backs are useless.
A card back makes your deck look nicer and so, it serves a purpose. So no, it's not useless, especially for people who care about aesthetics a lot. But, why the hell do I have to explain this? Isn't it very obvious?
From all CCG I played Hearthstone is less generous then any CCG else when it's about giving people free stuff.
Played Brawl, won pretty fast, revealed 0 secrets. What's fun, really? Was I supposed to reveal secrets and get additional rewards for it or what? Seems pretty dumb atm.
I like that card back, dark themed in a collection dominated by "cheesy" looking ones, but a pack is a pack.
If I was forced to play with a pinky flower flashy card back, which I don't like, to get an extra free pack every month, I'd do it.
If there was a card back shop with awesome card backs for gold, I'd spend 0g there for sure.
A pack gives you tools, or resources to stockpile to fill some key gaps in your collection. Card backs? I barely see mine during game, so aesthetics value drops a lot.

A quater is not even worth a minute of my time. The commemorative coin is priceless. Get a job and learn what your time is worth. That will help you understand why the majority of people are fine with just the cardback. Packs are cheap.
Well that just shows how entitled you are if you think $0.25 is not worth your time (although I have a feeling you're just trying to take a shot). Take it from a poor boy who's crawled out of the pit to make something of himself: even a PENNY is worth your time.
No. It means that I make more than $15/hr. As a CPA I bill at $150/hr. Work harder and you wont be a poor boy.
I see. And you drew a conclusion that I do not make more than $15/hr? On what basis? That I value every cent that I earn?
I do work hard, and I am duly compensated. Such is the law.
Just because you make decent money doesn't mean you should take it for granted.

Until next time
Nah, was talking more specifically about the original person in that chain, not you. Sorry I didn't make that clear.
lol who wants a card back...
If you have any business sense, ask yourself this question.
Why would you care if the "free-2-play" people are happy...
Incoming thumbs down from all the f2p!
I only play Tavern Brawls for free classic pack, so I'll skip this one
40 dust pack > card back worth 0 dust
And why they did not GIVE as a card back and pack. If they just GIVE to us something.
Why west gifts is always always Danayians gifts_ i mean fake gifts.
that cardback is not even good. cardback plus 40 dust would be okay for me.
Stop defending Blizzard's greed!

How boring is your life that one card pack in a video game is worth getting up in arms for?
