I had this happen multiple times in the same game today between two thief priests. It was quite hilarious actually and we friends after for some quality ggs over the shenanigans that ha ensued.
10/1 with thief quest priest so far in legend. The new 4mana taunt is insane, definitely the 4 drop the deck wanted.
Secret mage is insane especially on a hiroll. With coin it can t3 2 6/6 with 2 secrets for you to get through. Def meta changer there. At least the devs added tech but I'm not sure it's enough.
Disagree on framester. The card is a massive tempo card just with a delay. However its net 3+ mana tempo and a 3/3/3 is reasonable for its effect.
I think you are under rating this cards potential. It has the potential to blowout early games if it topdecks into t4 or 5 and even late game it's very limiting to quite a few decks.
If you choose Rat King when you play this, it'll go Dormant right away. That's a 6 Mana go Dormant do nothing card.
No it should trigger a dormant rat king off the discovery, the body still goes into play with a fresh DR attached. So you 2x ultimately. That's why it's worded DR procs first then gain the deathrattle of the discovery.
Honestly, people are complaining it's bad wording and them don't understand order...
It does trigger the deathrattle a second time, when it dies...
It's written correctly. The card coming into play isn't being triggered the DR on the discovery is. This is consistent with previous cards with the same effect. Don't let the addition if the body confuse you.
It's worded that way so instead of going Dormant off of Ratking. You get a Dormant ratking and a 5/4 body with go Dormant summon a 2nd Ratking. So much better eh?
I think a lot of people are overrating this card. Yes, it might keep your opponent from making a big play for one turn, but at least half the time it's going to whiff horribly. If your opponent doesn't have a big hand, it's actual garbage.
Good players keep track of created cards and where they are in hand. There are many situations this can be game winning in the hands of a quality player.
I'm not even sure how you deduced that this card requires a large hand by your opponent to be effective. In small hands we know more information and in a 3 card hand could lock out the card the opponent wants or needs to play with the exact knowledge of which card is being locked. Quality plays over quantity plays.
Sorry this card isn't broken, it's balanced and smart.

Which mean running 2 copies is fine since playing one buries the 2nd. Meaning this card is very consistent. It can also be tutored out turn 3 on.

The dormant minion "is" a Ratking as already demonstrated.
Dormant DRs have historically always been the minion with dormant, even when copied.
