If you don't like playing long boring control mirror, there is a solution : don't play warrior
If you still want to play warrior, then accept that having to outvalue your opponent in the lategame is your main wincondition, and versus other warrior that means having to play multiple Elysiana
Yes, they did a horrible job printing this card and not taking into consideration this kind of combo happening (especially when Elysiana is a 8 mana card and bouncing cards are 2 mana, which means you can play it both in the same turn)
Other people may not want to face warriors as well for different reasons, so what do we do ? Nerf Dr Boom and Omega Devastator also ?
I think one great change would be if Elysiana's battlecry was:
Discover 5 cards, replace your deck with 2 copies of each, transform into a 7/7 (with no text)
One of the issues right now is playing control decks is such a suffer due to the lists that include ways to bounce / duplicate elysiana. 10 cards more isn't terrible, but when it's 20 or 30 cards more that's just ridiculous. I've even seen a game hit the turn limit because of elysiana (90 minute game to end in a draw).
I completely stopped playing typical control decks as a result of this type of play, and so have many other people. Because of this aggro decks run into less bad matchups and get higher winrates as a result. I'm not saying other changes aren't needed as well, but limiting the amount that elysiana can extend the game would be a great improvement.
So you're saying Elysiana is a problem because you don't like long games? I guess I think a lot of typical aggro cards are a problem then, cause I dislike short games.
I honestly don't understand this long game hate. Look back over the history of posts on this website about how so many players complained that aggro/tempo/midrange made it so that control games were rarely (depending on the exact meta) a thing. Now you can have really long games and you people complain.
How about you make up your mind about the damn control meta you want. It's never good enough for you people.
PS - Games with double Elysiana rarely actually go to turn limit. The discovers almost always end up eeking out more value than the other person, which gradually leads to too much pressure to ever hit a turn limit.
PSS - If you're really that concerned about super long Elysiana games you can always run some form of finisher and actually try to close games after you've accumulated enough chip damage. Maybe control players have just forgotten that you can actually also win by reducing the face to zero, not just by reducing the threats to 0?

Exactly. Control decks are able to control the board and react, but the fact that Elysiana is neutral makes it more interesting for control vs. control. Rather than just playing one card a turn and then Hero Powering, they have to actually make proactive plays (i.e. attack your opponent) to stop themselves getting stomped by Elysiana value. It's also interesting because you have to figure out exactly when to play Elysiana, especially because she's also a tech card against Bombs and Bloods and Espionage decks.
When people avoid a certain archetype because of intolerably long games it's an issue because the lack of those decks makes it so aggro can roam free.
Also I don't mind games that are a bit on the longer side. I've been playing a lot of boomship warrior, which by definition in order for me to win I need to get to fatigue. I like it since it's pretty heavy on control which lets me beat the large number of rogues, yet has a definitive win condition by the time my deck is completely drawn so games don't go on too long against other control players.
Making it 10 mana would help a lot, the card is obnoxious enough just played once, but then you get into bounces and shuffles and shit... for REAL AINT NOBODY GOT TIME FOR DAT!
Tourney organizers are already banning that card it drags games on so long. Oh and another thing, Elysiana being able to discover herself, fuck that noise as well!
These are way better solutions than something as roundabout as the minion transforming itself into a war golem. That said, even with these nerfs Elysiana would still be a problem. Control mirrors nowadays are the same first 20 turns and then the game getting decided by whose Elysiana rng is better. Super boring to watch and to play. Making Elysiana more expensive would make those games end sooner, but they'd still be boring as dirt.
Anyone that plays pretty much any warrior deck doesnt care about having "fun", they just want a safe win which unfortunately due to the shitload of answers for pretty much anything you can play residentsleeper warrior is top pick.
She should be changed to 10 mana and she should be removed from her own discover pool. I've played several games as Control Shaman vs. Control Warrior. I've seen the Warrior play Elysiana, Brewmaster her back to hand, get another Elysiana from the original discover, play the first one again, all while I played my own copy, and then Shudderwocked another battlecry. It's ridiculous. Hit the turn limit for the first time ever because of her. I love the card, but she needs to be changed up a bit to prevent games like that.
if the card doesn't exist it doesn't change the control mirrors at all I mean if every control deck has 50 cards they might as well have 30 and be the same.
let me explain, the only decks that play elesyanna are control decks, the only decks it counters are control decks.. so it's a pointless card since it doesn't counter anything when everyone is playing her in their control decks. overall she is just 1600 mandatory dust for any control deck that wants to win the mirrors.
She is maybe the fairest deck expanding control card ever printed. Sure, control mirrors can be determined by her, but there is skill involved in picking the right discovers and timing her right.
Did anyone mention she is a dead, useless card in every matchup but control mirrors? Pretty strong drawback if you ask me, and a nerf would remove an interresting card (imo) from the game completely.
Guys, you can't just nerf her mana cost. Because if you do, only Shaman will be able to play "several" Elysiannas through Shudderwock's battlecry.
If you only nerf the mana cost, Control Warrior gets replaced by Control Shaman and nothing changes.
except Control Shaman isn't nearly as powerful as Warrior when it comes to beating aggro and even then, Shaman would at least work as a counter to Warrior (not to mention warriors can run Hecklebot to pull out Shudder/Elysiana

And this is relevant... how?
Thats because Wild contains more broken combos and cards. Also, Hyper Aggro is a thing.
But yeah.
Not relevant....

Omg found out what the next thing to be nerfed this TOPIC. All I am hearing is I play control and there is counter card you can’t beat.

9 or 10 mana is enough and would simply break the combo and make it possible to remove her if you don't have a coin.

just makke it 10 mana and give it taunt, problem solved
