man, I was so close to the finals. oh well, I did not put much thought into the card so I hardly would have deserved it. anyway, good luck to those who made it here.

Rejoice, for even in death, you have become children of Thanos.
However, worried about Dire Frenzy in hunter decks gaining 5-6 Ice Blocks. Maybe make it not a beast?:)
Yeah, that's actually a very good idea.
When I made my card for the first time (i.e. back in 2017), there weren't many shuffle cards in the game, so I didn't take the potential exploit with shuffling extra copies of the legendary into consideration. I admit, that I could have put more thought into the current version of the doggo, but I wasn't sure where the golden ratio was. I got a lot of controversial feedback from different users, before I ended up in the final poll. I agree with people here, that Lassy deserves a change, but to be fair, I would still like to keep her as a beast despite the obvious Dire Frenzy synergies. In order to tune down her power-level, I would remove the Patches' effect and make her text clearer:
This way if the hunter/rogue players decide to shuffle copies of Lassy into their decks, they have to make sure they draw them first. I am going to use this design in future WCDCs.
Imho, Eavesdropper isn't getting the attention it should. And I'd Tap That also got a vote from me, because the flavour and theme really are brilliant enough to justify that.
Voted for Good as New and Crystalize Soul. Good as New sounds like a fun card, the joy of Zombeasts without being OP. Crystalize Soul is just a fun dual use design.
Gotta say that I don't like I'd Tap That. Too sexualized for HS. Gilneas Gun Duel is a neat idea, but the execution feels off. I bet it could be a great card with a few more iterations and changes. I think it should be more ongoing, like Beneath the Grounds, so it keeps adding tension, even after the first bullet is drawn.

I agree, Eavesdropper is definitely my favorite among all of these. Although I do think it should be at least epic in rarity (Someone at Blizzard recently stated that the main aspect that determines card rarity is the complexity and/or uniqueness of the card, and I'd say this is pretty damn unique). I'm also not sure if this is the optimal statline and manacost for a card like this but that is always something that is up for debate. Nevertheless I just love the idea of dropping this dude and being blasted away by a whole bunch of playsounds while trying to make sense of them.
You mind explaining to me how Chromie made it to the final, if my card (which has almost double the upvotes on the same page) didn't?
According to the General Competition Rules, cards related to emotes will be deemed a troll entry and disqualified. The prompt implied that anything goes except for the GCR, so we were still holding people to this ruling.

There was a very similar card (may even the same name) to it in a previous contest. Eavesdroppper is a neat card but not unique.
Not into Eavesdropper. I play with the sound off and there are certainly deaf players. Also, think about the best/worst case scenario for this card. You play it, and you know every card in your opponents hand. That isn't fun, even though the auditory challenge and memory test might be fun.

Those are definitely fair points, I still think it's an interesting concept though and it could lead to some unique gameplay in Hearthstone we haven't seen before if everyone would be able to benefit from it.

It's honestly quite fascinating how many people broke the rules when the competition quite literally had none.

Thanks! Sexual innuendos ftw lel
As for Eavesdropper, another issue with the card is that a card with the same name and almost the same effect once won a season.
