I like how everyone assumes this card is bad because of the stat pool.
Well yeah, this card's pretty shitty, if you put it in your deck that is... Out of a Piloted Sky Golem though, you just got 13/8 across two minions for 6 mana (and NONE of the downsides!)
So that's your whole reasoning for not agreeing that the card sucks? "Ohh you might hit the one in sixty or so with Piloted Sky Golem and that'll be worth it!" Not really, still to easy to kill.
First game trying this card and I got the curse the very next turn I played it. It was turn 5, yep. Overall feel this card is really bad, the 4 health is the real curse here
Maybe only option is aggro druid because this piece of crap it's a lot better if you can mana cheat on it. But still, I don't think it is gonna see that much play, as long as they still have reaver, savage combatant and shredder.

I can vouch for this. Two games in a row I coin innervated this, and both games it single-handedly won for me. Just manage curve after that and you're golden.
Here's a screenshot from turn FOUR. I am even behind curve this turn, as you can see. Granted, it's arena. But going from a so-so draft to "gimme" wins is not bad, gotta tell ya. Even if they use a weapon for removal, you broke even in health, and probably forced them to abandon tempo/card advantage to answer it.
I run 1-of in my Aggro Druid. Seeing as I have yet to encounter a situation where it's worse then the card it replaces (Savage Combatant), I'll keep on using it.
Though a general tip if you use this in Druid: Mulligan it away against Mages.

Give a man a Murloc, and he'll eat for a day.
Give him a Murloc Knight, and people will hate him.
This card is imo hillarious in an aggro based arena deck. Got 12 wins with it. Key is to have board control and drop it on turn 4. you will get 90% of wins with it
In aggro decks, damage to yourself doesn't really matter. Sure, getting BGH'ed sucks, but it if they play BGH to react to your shade, theyre putting themselves out of curve, and if you run 2 of these, with two Fel Reavers, it is likely they a.) get overwhelmed, or b.) mill your ancient curse, and so you dont take the damage anyway. We will have to see about this card, but hopefully it's fast enough for aggro druid, and such, just my opinion.

I subbed this in my Aggro Druid in place of the Shredders and it's been fun so far. 20ish games and I have dodged the curse so far.

Saw a mage play this today in arena. Poor thing died to the curse. Salt and frustration are real.

Maybe taunts would be more popular if we had plenty of high damage but relatively low health minions.
Currently since we have so few of such cards, it's hard to see them worthwhile to protect with taunts to make their damage worth it most of the time.
But yeah, turn 1 innervates to this and then somehow give it windfury next turn and ouch.

IMO, I feel like Eerie Statue will be a better alternative, particularly for classes like Druid which have extra silences. Or Warlock.
Although, if the goal is to set up Fel Reaver then I could see a Druid deck with both Ancient Shade and Eerie Statue cards being quite scary.
"Infinite" doen't mean "big" - it can be small and have no end.

Just remember the good times!
I guess I can't be a naysayer if I don't at least test it...
Nightblade Argent Lance Flame Imp
Argent Watchman Argent Squire Frost Giant
Aviana Hogger Snipe Sea Giant
Don't like the card because savage combatant is simply better. I would rather innervate out a combatant than this.
