Costs waaaaaaay too much.. there needs to be a card that can cheat it out in druid like " your spells that generate treants cost 3 less" on a decently stated minion. at 8 mana you can't just summon 5 treants... and you get another copy of it.. it has a lot of value but you lose tempo to play pile of stats at turn 8.
Another possibility is another card similar to Arcane Tyrant.
Voted "bad" for now. Also taking into account the hit Druids got in their mana ramp I doubt they will get as powerful ramp as they had before the nerfs.
Had to vote meta defining since there's not a 'class identity defining' option. They clearly want druid to be pumping out tokens now that everything of theirs is gone or nerfed.
I've always felt that their rating system was in need of revision.
As for the card - I really like that this gives you 2 separate boards in 1 card. 8 Mana may be harder to reach now though.
Yeah this is my fear. I really like token druid. I am even okay with it being a later game strat. The issue is, druid is losing so many defensive options with the rotation on top of the rotation of Naturalize leaving their ability to remove things in the dumpster right now. Not to mention slower ramp makes getting to 8 mana not difficult, per se, but much slower. We'll have to see what else comes out. This might be an archetype that doesn't get fully realized till later xpacs.
If Druid gets some type of ramp this expansion, I think this card could see some play. I just think this card is much more powerful in arena since you can spawn a board and do it again if the enemy gets through (but I don't play Arena so I could be completely wrong).
They Still pushing Treants Archtype .......... no one will play that archtype just give up blizz .
If they give the right tools it can be playable, the thing is all the treant cards are quite on the weak side, also were overshadowed by the old archtypes
Most of the solid board clears are rotating out, so being able to fill the board 4 times for two cards seems powerful. Again, they could just print a ton more board clears, who knows.
Mage will lose dragons fury and meteor
Shaman will lose volcano
Priest is losing spirit lash and dustbreaker and psychic scream and shadowreaper anduin.
Warlock loses defile
Equality got nerfed savagely.,
Everyone is losing primordial Drake.
So if those cards, especially Primordial Drake don't get replaced, being able to fill the board every turn from about turn 5 on will be very powerful.
kinda slow, feel like it could have been fine at 7-mana. It doesn't even fill the entire board, so it's basically a worse Hir'eek, the Bat.
The double up is kinda need just as a value generator, but to really make use of it you need to run a bunch of ramp, which has been nerfed harshly.
At the end of the day, Savage Roar is still massively OP so combined with Wispering Woods, Soul of the Forest and Treespeaker you basically force your opponent to wipe your board multiple times or else face the wrath of angry tree men.

What I don't understand is why this card is pushing treants in such a slow fashion. The deck needs speed not value. I mean druid uses UI. And the deck didnt work. I am scwptical and would have preferred or more midrangy card.
Why people piss and moan so much at such an early stage before an expansion I'll never know. Just look at some of the YouTube rating videos and old comments and you'll see that people jump the gun massively.
Who knows what synergy this card might get? Everyone saying it's too slow could see a card released that synergies to make it cheaper or buff the minions or cheat it out.
Discuss the cards and remain open minded. There are over 100 cards yet to be revealed and just one could make this or any other very powerful. How you can call a card unusable at this stage, I don't know.
I think it's interesting it makes me wonder if treat druid will get even more support and be a useful archetype.

if they pushed Treant Druid as a tempo archetype they'D have to gut Savage Roar because if there'S an efficeint way to spam tree dudes and also take the board then we're back to the Un'goro Aggro Druid Meta and that was NOT fun.
I personally like the idea of Treants being more of a grind strategy where you keep filling the board with tokens until your opponents is out of ways to clear them, thus punishing slow decks without pressure while having a worse matchup against decks that produce boards of their own.
Hey look, it's a super expensive card, but it is really good because Druid is that class that gets Mana a lot faster than other classes, right?... Oh right, we nerfed all those cards. So anyway, good luck surviving until turn 8 and then play your super slow treants.
I mean, the effect is alright, even for the cost. But with the cards that Druid is left with, I lack the imagination to see this as "playable".
I like the idea, synergizes with those treant support cards they are pushing, but I dont think an expensive token card is it chief, even if its a 2 casts in 1 card.
Too slow and not very likely to survive. Even in Arena this will not be that good but may win a couple of games if paired with Savage Roar or the likes of Power of the Wild.
Value wise, it's a great deal: 20 mana worth of Treants for 16 mana. Furthermore, being a Twinspell means it will take two board clears to stop it, so it is hard to counter without already having a large board presence. Another arrow in the quiver for Token decks.

Ehhh, there are better ways to spend 8 mana than summoning some Treants.

There could be something here with Sea Giant, Mountain Giant, Mulchmuncher, Witchwood Apple, and this.

I tried having fun once. It was awful.
You make a good point. There is way less clear.

This card should have been in witchwood. A Spiteful Summoner deck with The Forest's Aid and Ultimate Infestation could have been really brutal, particularly, with the good minions at the 8/10 mana points.
I would if it was playable, I like treants, but they're terrible atm :/

At least Blizzard didn't completely abandon it like poor Freeze and Totem Shaman.

To be great is to be misunderstood.
