Ok so this is still confusing to me cause peoole only talk about dust gain.
I want a full collection and never dust anything unless extra copies
I have Genn but no Baku
I craft both of them golden yes? Not gonna craft normal Baku I'm not that type of person.
I lose no dust if I craft all golden right? And I mean that if I dust them I get the samw amount of dust so not dusting them doesn't mean I "lose" dust since I have the option to do so

That way, you are not going to lose dust from your current amount of dust. If you craft Both golden, you get back the 3200 dust, respectively, for having them. You end at +/- 0. Then you can dust your normal copy of Genn and gain another 400 dust. You have golden copies of Genn and Baku and 400 dust more.
If you only craft golden Baku, you get 3200 dust back plus 1600 for regular Genn. You have regular Genn, golden Baku and 1600 dust more.
So this whole hof thing confuses me a lot if anyone can help me i would apreciate it .
I have regular copies of Genn and Baku.
If i craft golden copies of both of these cards when they get hofed i get back 3200 + 3200 without disenchant ? And then i can still disenchant them for extra 1600 + 1600?
Also does this happen for the regular copies i already own?

That is true, BUT: If you do nothing, you get 1600 dust for Genn and Baku as well.
If you already have regular copies, only for common cards you can get more dust for crafting golden copies and disenchanting them (10 dust each card).

Yes. Except for common cards. These you can craft and earn 10 dust.
And yes, craft them golden if you do not have them and plan to disenchant them somewhen in the future. Then you earn most dust.

After crafting the obligatory and logical golden epics, I find myself low on dust. The big question is if I should craft the golden legendaries. I did it last time, and both Sylvanas Windrunner and Ragnaros the Firelord look cool!
However, if I keep the golden ones and DE the normal copies, I will still lose 1200 a piece, 1600 if I keep both awaiting unlikely future nerfs. Much less than normal golden legendaries, but still rather expensive... and I would have to DE stuff to get the dust. Is it worth it...? I'll have a close look!
Also, gj pointing out that you can gain a small amount of dust by making golden versions of the commons even if you have the normal versions already.
You have to decide if you'd want to pay the opportunity cost (e.g. lose out on 1200 dust in case of a legendary) in order to replace your regular copies of Genn and Baku OR if you'd like to gain more dust (=the opportunity cost) which equals to doing nothing. It's really this simple. Back, when the first rotation hit I disenchanted a big chunk of (useless) cards just to craft golden Rag + Sylv (I didn't own regular ones, started less than a year before). And I'll never regret it.

If I change my mind, I can just DE the goldes after the rotation and not lose any dust. It feels a bit like renting golden cards!

I'd really like them and I'm seriously thinking about crafting both of them golden, but the problem is I'd have to dust a lot of duplicates that I'd like to keep for a possible future nerf (Revenge of the Wild, Time Out!,...).
I'm a beginner who started ~2 weeks ago. Would it be OK to disenchant some of my Legendaries (that I'm probably not going to use in the near future anyways) to get to 3.2k dust and craft a golden Baku/Genn in order to maximize my dust-payoff? Meaning I get a 50% payoff from investing 3.2k dust compared to 25% when investing only 1.6k.
The Legendaries I'm talking about are Frost Lich Jaina & Gul'dan (rotating out anyways) - Shirvallah, the Tiger & Gonk, the Raptor & Cairne Bloodhoof (hard to build a deck around as beginner or not often used anyways) and Millhouse (garbish).
I'd keep Ysera & Onyxia as well as Bloodmage Thalnos. Together with my current dust and disenchanting some duplicates & all of my other golden cards I would be able to hit those 3.2k dust.
Another option would be to just disenchant one or two of my legendaries and investing only 1.6k in a normal Baku/Genn to gain 400 additional dust.
As a beginner with a small collection, i plan to dust crappy cards & legendaries to craft the HOF cards for free. However, i'm low on dust and i don't want to disenchant my whole collection for some golden cards that i don't care. When your collection is little, it's better to have non golden cards but a lot of them than dusting your whole collection to get the golden one, you will lose too much gold. I think you can disenchant Frost lich jaina, all the decks where she is included are too expensive so she's a bit useless. Standard even warlock was cheap so guldan was useful, however he's not included in the wild version and renolock and cubelock are too expensive, the only way to craft these decks is to pay 200$ in packs or play during 2 years. I think you can disenchant him too. Keep shirvallah, all his combo cards will be playable in standard so you might be able to build a deck with him. Same for gonk. Cairne is a really good deathrattle card, he will be useful for sure since all the broken deathrattle cards are leaving standard. Millhouse crap => dust And yep keep Ysera, Onyxia and Bloodmage Thalnos
If you plan to play in wild, baku and genn are very good cards to craft. Their decks are top tier (tier 1/2) and they are cheap compared to the decks with the Death Knights.
I updated the table where you can see how much dust is possible to earn.
The principle behind the table is to maximize as much possible your profit in terms of dust. This assumes you are only interested on dust, consequently you will disenchant every cards being rotated to HOF.
As for what to dust.. It's all individually different obviously but I never play Wild for example, might as well max out my earnings on rotation. Dust cards getting rotated (that I don't play this last month) so I can craft HoF cards for max dust gaining come April.
Guys, I crafted all HoF cards in gold except Glitter Moth. I dont have enough dust to craft both golden copies, but enough dust to craft 1 golden and one regular.
The question is: am I going to have dust for both of these copies (1 golden 1 regular) or not?

Well played, Blizzard. Never would I have guessed I'd see the day where I'm "crafting" golden Gloom Stags and Glitter Moths for 300 dust each
